thaliablogs · 11/07/2012 23:08

YANBU

GnocchiNineDoors · 11/07/2012 23:11

Yabu to hate the babies.

By all means hate the parent

Birdsgottafly · 11/07/2012 23:12

You can get them on Ebay.

I'm due to be a nan next year, i might accessorise my GC (if a girl) with my dog, just for the hell of it.

My GS won't need hair accessories, a number 1 should do (as any boy should have).

creativepebble · 11/07/2012 23:17

They are AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWFUL! I am so pleased I am not alone in this matter.

SoleSource · 11/07/2012 23:19

You might accessorise your Grandchild with your dog Birds? I am starting to worry about you

Zondra · 11/07/2012 23:26

Erm...Blush I put them on dd now almost 13 for a few weeks as she came out like an angry, mashed turnip! Haha!

Really daft when i think about it now!

Btw, I'm not a chav, honest! Wink

WheresMrMonkey · 11/07/2012 23:34

Right up there with ear piercing in my mind, looks awful!!! YANBU

echt · 11/07/2012 23:48

They are excellent for holding hearing aids to a baby's head.

NarkedRaspberry · 11/07/2012 23:49

For PaWithABra

NervousAt20 · 11/07/2012 23:52

I agree OP! They drive me nuts! In preg with my first DD Grin and someone has have us one as a gift, very kind of them but may not make it out of the box Blush

BerthaKitt · 12/07/2012 00:00

It's quite endearing the way Pa sees the Beckhams as unarguably the the last word in good taste.

How about this Pa?

Scarredbutnotbroken · 12/07/2012 00:20

Beckhans innocuous alive band is nothing I tell you compared to what you see here!

iscream · 12/07/2012 09:16

There you go!

Etsy Baby Flower Headbands

NotGeoffVader · 12/07/2012 09:23

I don't like them. When DD was attending a baby & toddler group one of the mums there always had her DD in a fully matching outfit (co-ordinated to go with what Mummy was wearing) and a headband with flowers or some other nonsense on.

Her DD was almost bald - as was mine. Mine used to turn up in breakfast-smeared rompers....at least she & I matched too! :)

SusanneLinder · 12/07/2012 10:57

I can't stand them, but each to their own :)

Loving this <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=baby+headband&start=300&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&rlz=1R2ACAW_en&tbm=isch&tbnid=tH_Jr2slctllLM:&imgrefurl=www.wonderlandblog.com/wonderland/2011/04/pac-man-baby-headband.html&docid=5gUdt_eW_EPxZM&imgurl=www.wonderlandblog.com/.a/6a00d834515f7269e20147e3d50e5e970b-500wi&w=500&h=500&ei=bKD-T6yKE46o0AXj1bG0CA&zoom=1&biw=1311&bih=593" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">pacman one though.

Astr0naut · 12/07/2012 11:06

I hate them. Dd has been mistaken for a boy on numerous occasions (probably because she wears her brother's cast offs); but she's 8 months and babies all look the same at 8 months.

I should have probably had one though; my mum was once asked if she was SCottish because her 'little boy' was wearing a kilt.

I was 4. Hmm

RichManPoorManBeggarmanThief · 12/07/2012 11:11

They make bald babies look like easter eggs

SoleSource · 12/07/2012 11:19

Yes they do! Rich I knew they reminded me of something.

BonnieBumble · 12/07/2012 11:21

I don't have girls but I think they look cute. When my boys were babies they were sometimes dressed in bear, dog, bunny and even giraffe outfits. I live in a very middle class town and growing up in a town that often tops the Chav town league I saw it as my duty to provide a contrast to the bland Boden and drab John Lewis sleepsuits that everyone dresses their babies in.

My boys were not bullied at mother and toddler groups and have gone on to lead normal childhoods.

RuleBritannia · 12/07/2012 12:40

Baby girls who have these headbands usually have earrings, too.

DeathMetalMum · 12/07/2012 14:28

Claires sell baby hairbands. Disclaimer I bought them to try and keep dd's hair out of her eyes from about 6 months, they lasted about 5 minutes before she took it off.

Glittertwins · 12/07/2012 16:55

Not a fan of them at all. I used clips when her fringe grew out over her face. I do have a fetching photo of DS with DD's elastic dress belt on his head which looks suspiciously like these horrible hair bands. I'm keeping that for when he's older!
