Hully what's up with you today

Headbanger · 19/05/2010 11:36

"When you're weeee-heeee-areeeeeeee....."

TinyApeInBigPants · 19/05/2010 11:37

Hully dear, remember when I said MN was getting a tad tetchy of late?

Well

junglist1 · 19/05/2010 11:37

Will report myself then. Can't come back to a load of shocked faces and insults. It ends up taking too much time replying to it all

Hullygully · 19/05/2010 11:38

Nothing. I just think that there is no need for fussing and fighting and we would all be happier (and so would the world) if we strived for understanding and harmony. Surely we can all talk together in a calm and loving manner until we reach a place of understanding?

I don't see the point in shouting at each other and being unpleasant. It is counterproductive and upsetting.

I dont know Hully. I like a good barney on a thursday morning

junglist1 · 19/05/2010 11:41

We could all reach an understanding. Now. But by this evening, someone will come onto the thread and kick off again.
So to sum up, nobody is a c* I'm not thick, and you spell OMELETTE like that

TinyApeInBigPants · 19/05/2010 11:43

You know, I sort of hope the day comes when I feel justified in typing

'fuck off you bunch of cunts'

I imagine when meant, it's extremely satisfying.

junglist1 · 19/05/2010 11:43

It is degrading when it's all one sided SE. Which is the women I was talking about

Headbanger · 19/05/2010 11:46

My pal's favourite insult is to call someone a 'spare cunt'. You know. So useless you're not even the MAIN one.

Although maybe we should reclaim it, from the feminist perspective. Seems a bit of a shame it should be the 'worst' word in the lingo. Let's all start conversations with 'Oh me dear old cunt, not seen you in years'. That sort of thing.

Hullygully · 19/05/2010 11:46

There. Understanding. Isn't that lovely?

(OldMac - it's Weds, peace and love day)

You don't want to do that TinyApe. You want to embrace and share. Did you forget?

OldMacEIEIO · 19/05/2010 11:48

Brilliant idea headbanger.
I suggest you start a thread to come up with a new worst word, and to begin a campaign to rebrand 'cunt'

Hullygully · 19/05/2010 11:49

Are you quite new you two? We've had lots of those, they never quite work out...

Headbanger · 19/05/2010 11:50

Know what Mac, I simply don't have the balls cunt for it. Too much of a newbie. Sunday School too recent and vivid a memory. You do it. I hand over copyright of my genius

Headbanger · 19/05/2010 11:51

x post with Hulls. Bit new yar. Tend to stay within the confines of my home-thread, as it were.

Hullygully · 19/05/2010 11:56

It's definitely not something to rush into..

TinyApeInBigPants · 19/05/2010 12:10

Yes, tis hump day peace all round day.
I am feeling the love now.

Cucumber sandwich anyone?

jessiealbright · 19/05/2010 12:55

Okay, OP, on the off chance your husband isn't an abusive bastard, could you suggest he goes on an Anger Management course, or something? Because throwing a tantrum, as he did with the sandwiches (throwing them in the bin? FFS, that's unacceptable!) is not how adults deal with arguments, and he should be modelling actual proper adult behaviour for your children. Particularly the three year old.

mathanxiety · 19/05/2010 15:03

Personality transplant might be more useful. What he did had nothing to do with anger getting out of hand. It was cold, and the text saying Zebra's reaction was uncalled-for indicates an element of self-righteousness that is very worrying.

Zebra, don't be tempted to let this slide even though you're tired and confrontation may not appeal to you, and even though your H will certainly prefer not to discuss this. You'll have to push back really hard against this person.

happycopter · 20/05/2010 15:23

Ok, so zebra... have you had Stern Words with him yet?
