As usual I give an opinion and it turns into but Junglist but Junglist.
Report away

TinyApeInBigPants · 19/05/2010 11:16

Oh I say!

Hullygully · 19/05/2010 11:22

Dear dear dear.

It's just that everyone is talking about slightly different things.

There are equal relationships where both parties are happy with the division of labour and try to do nice things for each other.

And then there is what angry junglist is talking about which is a general culture of male dominance, evidenced on a daily basis in the serving of men by women, which does indeed create a culture within which women are treated badly. Of course making someone a sandwich does not mean you are an abused wife, which is NOT what junglist said, but a general arrangement of servitude is a sympton of a wider attitude and therefore to be avoided.

junglist1 · 19/05/2010 11:23

Thank God someone gets it.
Don't see how it was so difficult to understand TBH

OldMacEIEIO · 19/05/2010 11:23

Junglist, I apologise. for spelling omlette wrong

lighten up

Hullygully · 19/05/2010 11:24

There there

junglist1 · 19/05/2010 11:25

It's omelette.
Why are you apologising? Wasn't my comment worse?

Headbanger · 19/05/2010 11:25

Heavens to Betsey Junglist, was that really necessary?! And if you're still this angry about men after your relationship (I assume now in the past?) then I am terribly sorry, but there's a limit to which you should lash out at others innit.

Hullygully · 19/05/2010 11:27

See, Junglist has a point..are you all now going to go on about her brief and unfortunate outburst?

Let us move on. Surely it is more important to foster love and understanding?

OldMacEIEIO · 19/05/2010 11:27

I can take it

Headbanger, people on here insult for fun and complain when they get it back. I don't really have limits when I'm insulted, I pretty much say what I like.
In 3 words, she started it

Headbanger · 19/05/2010 11:28

Nah Hully, I agree with Junglist to a certain extent (I'm afraid I suffer from slight lack of sympathy with women who serially date abusive men) I'm just a bit worried about her blood pressure!

Fuck off

Hullygully · 19/05/2010 11:30

She was referring to a general attitude. I can see that it does sound regrettably personal. Junglist, do you think you could refrain from the personal in order to make your points more effectively? Otherwise people get defensive and then they don't listen.

Hullygully · 19/05/2010 11:31

It is beginning to seem to me that you lot want to fight. This is not something I can understand. Isn't it better to seek harmony and understanding? Really?

junglist1 · 19/05/2010 11:32

Look, someone just report me will you, I have to leave the thread I've got work to do.

Headbanger · 19/05/2010 11:32

Yes Hully it is. I'm going to start humming 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'.

Headbanger · 19/05/2010 11:33

Oh now you're just showing off.

Hullygully · 19/05/2010 11:33

Well done Headbanger.

No one wants to report you, Jungy, we want you to feel the love and relax. Let us seek understanding and peace.

elmofan · 19/05/2010 11:34

junglist1 you can report your own post

junglist1 · 19/05/2010 11:35

And no I didn't want people to respond. Why would I, I'm talking about my experiences so where's the debate? I was there, I know, you don't, that's that. You misunderstood the point and started blathering on about equal relationships If you're in an equal relationship in what way am I talking about you?

OldMacEIEIO · 19/05/2010 11:35

junglist

make us a butty before you go
