Looking good for yourself and not anyone else piglet

scaryteacher · 21/04/2010 23:43

Do I have buy dh some pjs then RRW?

You have to appreciate that there is a peculiar type of Forces humour, and that the Forces are not PC, and that this will go down well with both sexes.

I bought a Young Farmers naked calendar (several copies in fact) to support the Young Farmers around where I taught; some of my ex pupils were in it - should they not have posed with their strategically placed tractors and balers?

RedRedWine1980 · 21/04/2010 23:43

See this stripping off does nothing to 'empower' women as some would like to think. It just leads men to believe its acceptable to objectify women because some women believe its okay and leads to other women who do not approve being branded ridiculous labels such as 'prude/frigid/jealous/bitter' etc.

RedRedWine1980 · 21/04/2010 23:44

Okay so you can speak for everyone in the forces that they will think its acceptable? Some people actually have a mind of their own you know!

The female and male human bodies evolved to make the opposite sex look at them and desire them. When you get down to the basics, there is no other reason for humans to exist other than to reproduce, live and die. Early humans didn't wear any clothes and nobody thought them rude!
A male bird doing a mating ritual dance is no different than a woman putting on make up and seducing a man. All this feminist bla, bla, bla - it's what we're supposed to do - it's just that everyone thinks that the human body should be covered up and shut away.

pigletmania · 21/04/2010 23:45

Yes, I try to look good for myself as it makes me feel good and more confident, most of the time at home i look like a tramp , when i do go out i like to look nice for myself.

tiredlady · 21/04/2010 23:45

Good post RRW

scurryfunge · 21/04/2010 23:45

Scaryteacher, It will go down well with both sexes? Yes, indeed, the women who have to acquiesce to survive in the forces will agree wholeheartedly

scaryteacher · 21/04/2010 23:46

I think 26k is pretty empowering personally, and good on them.

Tiredmumno1 · 21/04/2010 23:46

Well at least its for a good cause, i dont usually like it, and i dont see you whining about the likes of the sun's page 3 or that bloody sport paper, and that's just for fun (apparently).
rrw you swore, i thought you said that kind of language was vile, so your not really as stuck up as you like to make out. and you find everything vile what an exciting life you must lead

RedRedWine1980 · 21/04/2010 23:46

I wish I hadn't posted this thread- im really enjoying seeing peoples different views when I should be in bloody bed

toccatanfudge · 21/04/2010 23:47

men got there first with the naked military ones ;-)

RedRedWine1980 · 21/04/2010 23:48

Oh personal attacks tiredmum due to another thread I said something you didnt like- really showing great debating ability there! Get in!

OP posts:
scurryfunge · 21/04/2010 23:48

I know RRW, intended to go to bed ages ago

pigletmania · 21/04/2010 23:48

I agree with you totally luciemule, nobody has answered my question, what about men taking their kit off for women for porn, escorting services etc are they degrading their bodies or is it just women then, very sexist and old fashioned. As a teen i used sneak playgirl off the newsagent shelves and ogal it with a couple of my female friends admiring the male physique.

luciemule · 21/04/2010 23:48

I think to make this even more exciting, you should defo post it in the Forces Sweetheart section.

RedRedWine1980 · 21/04/2010 23:49

Tiredmum if you want to drag something ive said to a totally unrelated thread I objected to you implying a man deserved being battered by his partner..how unreasonable I must be

toccatanfudge · 21/04/2010 23:49

pigletmania · 21/04/2010 23:51

I think that i have RRW

RedRedWine1980 · 21/04/2010 23:51

Tocatto I wouldnt touch that calender with a bargepole- fundraising or not.

OP posts:
scurryfunge · 21/04/2010 23:52

Why not Piglet? Would he find it demeaning?

tiredlady · 21/04/2010 23:52

Not sure what you are talking about Tiredmum, but it's not good form to personally attack people for no obvious reason.

We had managed to avoid personal attacks until you posted. There's no need.

pigletmania · 21/04/2010 23:52

Even though RRW whats the difference between a man getting his kit off and a woman, nothing, nada imo
