unles you want to talk about anal sex which is hilarious. and never offends anyone it seems.

if oyu dare take the pis out of anyone its automatically offensive

( and im going out in a min so dont do the old "come back here op and defend yourself routine")

OP posts:
TiggyD · 17/04/2010 21:15

Not much humour on here. Very serious. People seem a bit sensitive about what you can post about too. It's the least 'free' forum I post on.

BitOfFun · 17/04/2010 21:22

What, even though we can say Twat?

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 17/04/2010 21:24

And tosser. And twunt. I like twunt. It has a nice ring to it don't you think?

MmeLindt · 17/04/2010 21:25

I think MN is very free and often incredibly funny.

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 17/04/2010 21:25

BoF - you must change your name too. Tis far too frivolous.

TiggyD · 17/04/2010 21:27

Let's see what we can get away with!

Bum
Bugger
Sht Bllcks Plm Frt Hle
Bucket of runny
* * *

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 17/04/2010 21:28

Hmm what a sh*t stirrer the OP is!

TiggyD · 17/04/2010 21:28

The bold asterisk messes stuff up don't it?

pagwatch · 17/04/2010 21:29

I am not finding MN very funny at the mo. But i think people are just being a bit dull tbh. I think MN humour is good in waves. We seem to have a great month followed by a naval gazing month, then a fucking miserable month finished off by a 'do you remember how great MN used to be' month.
It is the circle of MN

But I have to say I think often the people complaining about a lack of ability to laugh at stuff are ones who want to maintain it is OK to make really funny jokes about people with Downs syndrome or to complain about the SN child in their DCs class and then get huffy about 'PC gone mad' when anyone calls them a twat.

It is like that poster who complained that everyone was too PC and sensitive for MN to be any fun. I told her to fuck off and she reported me .
She wanted MN to be edgy and hilarious as long as she wasn't the one on the receiving end. If everyone started finding really piss taking things to say about those complaining about the PC ness I wonder if they would still find it a laugh.
It is a bit dull just now. But I am not sure it is anything to do with people trying to avoid negative stuff about disability or homosexulaity or any off mainstream subjects

But ultimately I think it isn't funny at the moment because Hully is away

BitOfFun · 17/04/2010 21:30

I'm reporting Saggar for alluding to bums in her name.

pagwatch · 17/04/2010 21:30

BoF
you can say twat but not call someone a twat. it gets deleted. I tried.
Fucking twat gets deleted even quicker.

I wonder how fast stupid twatty fuckbucket would be?

BitOfFun · 17/04/2010 21:31

Oh twat the fuck off, paggy

pagwatch · 17/04/2010 21:32

indeed. Fuck the twat off yerself

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 17/04/2010 21:33

And don't forget the knockers BoF.

MmeLindt · 17/04/2010 21:33

Ach, Pag. MN without navelgazing wails of "it is not what it used to be" would not be MN.

I have occasionally commented on posts that I have found offensive and been told that it was just a joke.

C'est la vie.

chipmonkey · 17/04/2010 21:33

I agree with the OP. It's not been the same since cod left.

LynetteScavo · 17/04/2010 21:34

I was going to say YANBU, I've thought this for a while, but considering th last post I started, I daren't.

So

BitOfFun · 17/04/2010 21:35

ROFL chipmonkey

RedBlueRed · 17/04/2010 21:37

I suppose 'free' depends on your perspective.

I used to post on a single parents forum - it was all 'I cant cope' 'my ex is a bastard' and 'its so unfair' it got pretty tedious. I actually stopped posting there when someone posted a youtube link of a soldier on parade sticking his foot out and tripping up a little boy running across the ground. He dove into the tarmac face first and it made me squirm to watch.
They all piled in posting 'pmsl' and 'that is the funniest thing I have ever seen' not knowing if that little boy was hurt, lost teeth or broke anything.
This was including the mod who was in training to be a social worker.
And it was around the time that Baby P was beaten to death for fun.
Their 'humour' made me want to vomit all over my keyboard.

I'm pretty comfortable with the humour on mumsnet but if you want me to link to abusechildandlaugh. co. uk for you I will.

scottishmummy · 17/04/2010 21:39

alluding to mn halcyon days of yore is daft.ach the good ole days

when folk squawked

we did that already

are you new

sure dont miss that.at all

MmeLindt · 17/04/2010 21:41

Cain
What I meant was that if we want to swear we can without resorting to talking about itches and

If I say, "you are all itches" it does not make it any better for the fact that I left out the B

MN humour tends to be a bit more sophisticated than tripping a small child up for laughs.

Bumsex threads excepted.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 17/04/2010 21:44

scottishmummy, you are right, these threads are a load of yite!!

RedBlueRed · 17/04/2010 21:44

Sorry MmeLindt my last was prompted by the following post:

MmeLindt · 17/04/2010 22:04

But it is still swearing.

If I say *uck off SM, it is still the same sentiment as when I say Fuck off SM

Oooh, never wrote that on MN before.

Don't really mean it, SM. Honest.
