Yes but Belle the Blackberry takes better pics, chin up

Bottom Butter is very "Last Tango in Paris" sounding...

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 29/03/2010 23:14

I found that movie quite horrific! (I thought that when poor Jack mentioned 'Bottom Butter (snigger))

I think lurvely Ocado should have an app on the Blackberry!! This would please me very much!!

(snigger @ bottom butter)

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 30/03/2010 00:22

damn, I've recommended Ocado again! I'm so sorry for the additional custom

NettiespagettisMiniEggs · 30/03/2010 09:02

Ah I now know what you mean by bottom butter x

OcadoAnnie · 30/03/2010 10:36

Wow, I'm too slow to keep up with Mumsnet threads! I'll try to answer as many questions as I can here:

cornsilk - It sounds like you might be missing the very last button to press after you've put in your card details successfully, but you're right about the e-mail confirmations. If you e-mail us at [email protected] letting us know the details, we'll be able to investigate if you think that's not the problem.

NormalityBites - Welcome Packs should always be sent with the first order, but we may occasionally run out if we've had lots of new customers that week! If you e-mail or call us, we can arrange for one to be sent out to you if you've missed yours. Other samples and free gifts (like blueberries and vodka!) are down to our suppliers and marketing promotions. And we like to treat you!

JackRabbitBauer - Our warehouse is in Hatfield, but we are always expanding, so hopefully in the near future! In the meantime, you can register your postcode and e-mail on the website and we'll let you know when we come to you.

lotster - See previous answer re. free gifts. You can be the unofficial Ocado Mumsnet prefects if you like; here are your virtual badges: . Also, see our Invite a Friend scheme online (www.ocado.com/webshop/recommendFriends.do), as you can earn real vouchers too!

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny - Sorry you miss the free Times; we made a joint decision with the paper in January to stop giving it for free. This has cut down on huge amounts of wasted paper, which helps our customers, our business, and hopefully the environment! As other posters have mentioned though, we're always offering free samples of other goodies.

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 30/03/2010 13:21

Thankyou Annie. Other people on here (somewhere) have wondered when you lovely people are going to deliver to them? (parts of wales and the north). I understand completely about The Times (sob)

lotster · 30/03/2010 14:16

Aah thanks Annie, can't use the 15% off first order as am a regular now but will get a real friend to sign up!

Patsy99 · 30/03/2010 14:39

YANBU - if you add a couple of pounds penalty points onto Tesco for a significant minority of delivery men tutting (yes, really) or rolling their eyes when you ask them to bring your shopping into the kitchen then Ocado are cheaper. When you've got a toddler crawling around the house, your hands full and can choose between the "Tesco tut" and the helpful, smiley Ocado man bringing your shopping into your kitchen, it's no contest. Don't know how Ocado get their staff to be so nice.

Ocado don't deliver to our area so I am checking out the Waitrose home delivery.

that they have a Glass and Fish Kettle Loan Service!

"Glasses and Fish Kettles are available to borrow from us as part of your order
This service is free of charge"

fabhead · 30/03/2010 15:10

agree about the nice delivery men and women. I only use ocado when they send me a 15% off offer and then I find it is comparable with a tescos shop, definitely

Restrainedrabbit · 30/03/2010 19:44

Off the back of this thread I booked my first Ocado delivery for yesterday (no welcome pack though ), I was impressed by Henry in his Cabbage Van (!) v polite and helpful, no substitutions and no stupidly short dates on fresh items. Will try again a couple more times before we decide whether to switch over permanently.

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 30/03/2010 19:47

Well done Rabbit!!

Sorry about the welcome pack. I didn't get one either (sniff)Annie from Ocado says to email them and they will send you one out though.

loolop · 30/03/2010 19:50

Okay this toooo tempting! Have been thinking for ages to try online delivery, am now def going to sign up and try ocado!

will do my first order tomorrow-any tips for an online food shopping virgin? Will it take ages first time?

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 30/03/2010 20:09

Yes, if you let someone refer you then both you and they get £30 free!!

It doesn't take ages, just know what you need and type it on at the top.

loolop · 30/03/2010 20:17

Am up for that fluffy-what info do you need to refer me?

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 30/03/2010 20:20

"Invite a friend to Ocado and share £60 off your groceries
Recommend us to a friend and we'll give you a £30 voucher when they complete their third shop with us. (Voucher valid for 12 weeks from issue. Minimum spend £90.)

We'll also send your friend three £10 vouchers to use on their first three shops. (Vouchers valid for 12 weeks from issue. Minimum spend £60 per order.) Just consider it a 'welcome to Ocado' present."

You have to use them three times. Sorry. Just name and email. You won't go back though as they really are great, I've been using them for 2 and a half years, I wouldn't change.

I'll leave it up to you. You can CAT me if you are interested

loolop · 30/03/2010 21:18

haven't got CAT but have put my email addy on my profile - let me know when you've got it so I can take it down! Wheeee am mentally doing my shopping list.....

lotster · 30/03/2010 21:23

Ok who wants to team up with me then?!!! I'll recommend ya...

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 30/03/2010 21:25

Done

Don't worry if you use them once and don't go back

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 30/03/2010 21:26

Sorry, I had to sort little fluff out and pop him to bed

loolop · 30/03/2010 21:37

Am hoping it will revolutionise my life! I work f/t so def won't miss dragging my 3 yr old dd round sainsburys on a Saturday! Can think of a million things we'd rather be doing.

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 30/03/2010 21:43

That's why I use them. I really hate the supermarket and all the drudgery associated with it. I don't use Ocado every week, the times when I don't shop online I end up spending more money, I take ds for lunch first, then there's the cab back as I don't drive so it's £25 on top of the food and I always buy more then we need as I fall for the cakes and the 'oh, that looks tasty' I must have spent £100 last week because I didn't use Ocado rather then the £60 I normally spend.

I do notice we seem to eat the Ocado food a little quicker though, the lemon cup cakes are really yummy! (expensive though, £2.99 for 4)

NettiespagettisMiniEggs · 31/03/2010 21:48

I have had my welcome pack. Some free coffee sachets and info. Ocado coming for second time tomorrow! I've been on my ocado app all night trying to make sure I have everything! DB and family coming for Easter. App bit confusing wish everything was in categorys!

Some blueberries free this week I reckon!
