I saw this on another thread (doesn't matter which) and didn't want to hijack it with my silly ramblings

but, I can't imagine being with a man who "doesn't drive" (disabilities notwithstanding)

just someone too lazy to learn, who would let their OH chauffeur them around

there is something very appealing (sexy) about a man who drives well

mind you, I have a thing about a well-shaped wrist on a man , and driving in short sleeves shows that off to perfection

he also hill-walks, does athletic training, rides a bike (for pleasure...not to get to/from work...not practical for him) etc etc

Gosh how shallow op! There are loads of ways to get about without having a car, nothing sexy about being tied to it and when it breaks down, what do i do omg!!!!

YANBU about a sexy toned arm at the wheel and sexy driving skills though. There is a lady who lives opposite me who drives her ds to school about 500 yards away when it rains or snows.

A man who doesn't drive is far sexier than a man who speeds or has road rage.

But anyone who lives somewhere that driving is actually pretty useful and who is not very willing to use public transport and who cadges lifts instead is annoying and wimpy.

Oh I can see why people who live in small towns think not driving is uncool - because when they were young they would all have been desperate to drive and get out of the small town for a while.

We are a car free household. Neither me or DH can drive. We don't need to and don't want to. It just means you will be stuck with your biggoted little prejudice while I'm married to the sexiest man alive.

Depends on how he got his well shaped wrist, I'd be a bit wary if one was remarkably bigger than the other.
I'm not so sure it's just inability to drive that's important, choice of car is also up there as far as I'm concerned.

I can't imagine being with a bloke who didn't drive.
I'd suspect he was either hopelessley neurotic or anti progress, computers, any sort of technology.
Probably preferable to being with a jeremy Clarkson car obsessive, but generally I prefer men in the middle, who can drive and have a car but just see a car as a means of transport.
I generally go for sporty men and cyclists, but most cyclists also drive.

Cyclists have well shaped legs, I think I notice legs more than wrists.

YABU. There could be lots of reasons for a man not to drive - for us it is cost; with one of us driving, it seems ridiculous to spend hundreds of pounds for DH to learn especially when we wouldn't get a second car. And I like being the driver. I feel quite sorry for women sitting in the passenger seat while their husbands drive round the same roundabout 3 times because they insist they aren't lost, the road signs are just stupid. And I find the fact that my DH's ego is sufficiently well developed not to be bothered by it very sexy indeed.

If the men are relying on their OH's to drive them places then that's rubbish, but I don't find driving a very sexy thing to watch tbh.

I do remember watching my brother parallel parking with the one-hand-behind-the-passenger-seat thingy and doing it in one swift, fluid movement and thinking 'Golly! I wish I could do that!' but obviously it wasn't sexy.

However, watching DH's wrists and hands while he's driving a golf ball is quite sexy, now I come to muse upon it.

Then again, I find a man who has a Swiss Army Knife - and knows how to use all of its components- rather sexy too......
