Oh you cannae shove yer granny aff the bus

I need a change from the wheels on the bus!! If i need to sing it one more time today my head will burst. My ds is almost 2 and bus mad.
Can i sing him that?? Can i? It wouldn't be too bad, i mean we sung it when young and never pushed my daddy's mammy off the bus.

Ds is standing next to me pulling my arm shouting "BUS BUS BUS" as we speak. !

we use She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain (ie the same tune as the granny-shoving song) for custom songs too

dd: song mummy
MrsB: which song, dd?
dd: bus song
MrsB: [sings] the wheels on the bus go round and round...
dd: No mummy, giraffe bus song
MrsB:
dd: GIRAFFE BUS SONG, MUMMY!
MrsB: [sobs]

Oo i like the giraffe one! We did do wheels on the bus a good 20 or so more times, but will use the giraffe bus song tomorrow.

i sang 'you cannae shove yer granny' when DS1 was born. MIL was horrified. She'd never heard it before and thought it was very bad taste.

Funny, we sing this too with our 3 year old. She recently started to get that its cheeky and love it. Although I do get into trouble from my husband for occasionally launching into "everybodies doing it doing it doing it, pickin their nose and chewin it, chewin it...etc.
