AIBU to be annoyed when I make a really good point on a thread

and then it's ignored, and either I have to repeat it, or then someone else comes and makes exactly the same point and everyone goes "oh yes, that's quite clever" "what a good and inciteful point" and so on. Maybe I should just type in caps?

Yes, YABU. I get this too. It's nothing personal, people just don't always read the whole thread or every comment on it. And there's the issue of cross-posting too.

Ooooh, and don't be tempted to type in caps. IT'LL LOOK LIKE YOU'RE SHOUTING! You'll get attention then, but not the kind you probably want.

I have a few open wounds faint memories of being the only person on a couple of threads thatthe OP didn't name check
But if it worries you then don't, for Gods sake, go on a 'who is your favorite MNer thread'.
There have been hundreds of those and i only ever got a mention once. I think I was giving out £10 notes.....
Those threads really make you realise that no one knows or cares who you are...

Oh this happens to me, the getting ignored bit I mean because it would have to be a blue moon for me to ever write anything insightful.
I just dont get upset about it. However I joined here 9 months ago when I became pregnant, therefore no alcohol. Im not sure I will be able to control any bolshiness once im able to drink wine again.

I find the layout of threads quite overwhelming - lots of posts on one page. It's easy to get lost in a mumsnet thread.

YANBU but sometimes posts get missed as threads can go so quickly. I feel a bit miffed sometimes when I post something I think is good and someone else, usually the OP, posts at the same time and misses it.
