AIBU to be annoyed when I make a really good point on a thread

and then it's ignored, and either I have to repeat it, or then someone else comes and makes exactly the same point and everyone goes "oh yes, that's quite clever" "what a good and inciteful point" and so on. Maybe I should just type in caps?
So, AIBU?

tethersend My hamster has just died

Knownowt · 03/12/2009 17:15

OP, YABU.

On the other hand, I find it really annoying when I make a good point then it's ignored, and either I have to repeat it, or then someone else comes and makes exactly the same point and everyone goes "oh yes, that's quite clever".

Jamieandhismagictorch · 03/12/2009 17:16

Lady It has gone very deja vu and self-referential on here.

GibbonInARibbon · 03/12/2009 17:16

pag you often make me laugh, I always feel a bit weird saying 'oh that really made me lol' incase I look like a stalkeresque type poster.

This is like therapy, I am getting all deep and meaningful now.

GibbonInARibbon · 03/12/2009 17:17

My mum trod on my beloved hamster when I was 8 (accident of course) it was a family trauma we have never forgotten.

And there's jamie and her hamster gags [glare]

tethersend · 03/12/2009 17:17

Jamie- does your DS stick his fingers up his bum at all?

pagwatch · 03/12/2009 17:18

and Rofl at Knownowt

GibbonInARibbon · 03/12/2009 17:18

Infact I may flounce over this.

tethersend · 03/12/2009 17:18

I mean I'm very sorry for your loss.

(See what you mean, pagwatch... )

Jamieandhismagictorch · 03/12/2009 17:19

tether FGS - that's how the hamster died. I cannot believe your insensitivity. I am going to report your last post.

santaschristmascakeywakey · 03/12/2009 17:19

One of my friend's hamsters had a hysterectomy. She took it v seriously, I just couldn't

GibbonInARibbon · 03/12/2009 17:20

Oh it's been far too long since I enjoyed such a surreal and fun thread.

tethersend · 03/12/2009 17:20
GibbonInARibbon · 03/12/2009 17:21

rofl santa, really?

santaschristmascakeywakey · 03/12/2009 17:23

Oh yes Gibbon. Mad, but true

bibbitybobbityhat · 03/12/2009 17:23

Jamie - you need to start a thread about your hamster. Lots of people will post on it (seriously) - there are regulars on the dead hamster threads you know. That's one of my favourite places to hang out.

BitOfFun · 03/12/2009 17:25

Did the hamster get a Viking burial at sea?

GibbonInARibbon · 03/12/2009 17:25

All my hamsters met an awful end, one was killed by a valentines card (I kid you not)

Jamieandhismagictorch · 03/12/2009 17:28

bibbity I lied about the hamster (for comic effect). That makes me a Troll, right ?

The hamster threads sound fun though.

My friend's two "female" hamsters managed to produce babies yesterday. So it looks like one of them is for the chop too santa

GibbonInARibbon · 03/12/2009 17:28

sadly no BoF, more of a makeshift cardboard coffinesque type thing for each of them.

Now I lament the passing of a Viking burial opportunity.

pagwatch · 03/12/2009 17:29

I have to go but will search dead hamster threads tomorrow.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 03/12/2009 17:29

BitofFun Who are you ? Are you a DM journalist ?

GibbonInARibbon · 03/12/2009 17:31

RL beckons here too, bye pag, bye all.

BitOfFun · 03/12/2009 17:33

It would be a great career move- an excuse to stay here fulltime...

bibbitybobbityhat · 03/12/2009 17:37

Oh yes Jamie I see . Getcha.

Still, I stand by what I said about the dead pets threads. You get a nice class of poster over there. Usually (not always) the swearing and insult-hurling takes a back seat for a while.
