To think that some folk take this far too seriously

There are some posters who seem to feel they are operating in a War Zone. In a War Zone where only they are allowed guns. They can say what they like but as soon as somebody bites back it "Hey Ho, Hey Ho its off to Mumsnet HQ I go".

99% of what gets posted is just light relief not the end of civilisation as we know it.

Look for the posts that say things along the lines of "I am posting under a different name" A pound to the proverbial 9p they have more than one identify.

I've seen lots of posts that start 'I am name changing for this.....' I really don't understand that at all TBH. This site is not real life and so what if someone recognises you.

Gosh, MN is a bit weird today.

No, can't be that.

LOL at Kreecher missing things while washing knickers. If you would stop being such a Hausfrau and just sit on your bum eating Swiss chocolate and MNetting all day you would not miss anything.

I do wish that the trolls would fall off their bridges and leave MN alone. Nip along to TopGearNet and post that you HATE Jeremy Clarkson, there's a dear.

MmeLindt · 10/11/2009 16:06

Kreecher
I do sometimes namechange to ask personal or sensitive questions. I am very easily recognisable if anyone were looking to find me and some things I would not want relatives or friends to know about me.

There is a massive difference between doing that and name changing to get attention/stir up trouble.

It's a pound to a penny isn't it? A pound to 9 pence is just odd.

(or have I been mishearing this phrase all these years?)

HTH

Iamapolytoo · 10/11/2009 16:10

Reality - you express such total rubbish with such venom that I can only wonder what motivates you.

You don't know me, you have never met me or spoken to me, you only know exactly what I choose to reveal about me on Mumsnet yet you fell comfortable about dismissing my situation as "bollocks".

When was second sight granted to you?

I'm loving the fact that the OP is complaining about the seriousness of MN, and is then the only person taking their thread seriously

Iamapolytoo, you have been personally attacking Reality all day. What is your problem? Why does she get to you so much?

You clearly have an odd obsession with her, that I can't say I understand. You keep singling her out for comment.

Defluffmyfanjo · 10/11/2009 16:15

Iamapoly - genuine question, if you are indeed Extended then why did you post on the Extended thread to tell everyone that she was hounding you genuine 'polys' etc etc.

And why did you post on the bereavement threads?

Seriously fuck who you want, sister, brother whatever I don't mind, but why play with peoples' emotions?

No reality - what you claim to be facts are your opinions. You have no facts - you know that, I know that, the other thread readers know that.

I married my dead twin sister - is there something wrong with that then?

We had a lovely poem read out that went

Now we two are two
We are one too
Tho one of us is a bit more than the other
And one is a bit cold round the edges.

Defluffmyfanjo · 10/11/2009 16:17

And, and, and why have you got such a hardon for Reality? True she's fairly cute but I think your getting a bit stalkery now.
