I think Chris might be ok .I hate Sarah Kennedy though, but she's finishing at 7 when Evans takes over and my alarm goes off at 7.10.

Every cloud.. and all that

CybilLiberty · 21/09/2009 19:07

I loVe wOGAN AND dANNY bAKER.

wHOOPS

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 21/09/2009 19:09

Chris Evans was brilliant on GLR when he was young - he then became a twat but has now gone back to being a lovely guy imo. I really don't get any sense of misogyny from Mr Evans.

I heart Radio 4 but find it too heavy first thing, so I wake up to Shaun W.Keaveny (sic?) on Six Music. Shaun is everything that Mr Moyles isn't and manages to be entertaining without raising my hackles.

Six Music also has Cerys Matthews on in the afternoons and her show is really excellent.
Mind you ,Six Music did somehow 'lose' the fantastic Natasha who did the weekend show for ages and replaced her with some idiot bloke.

dogonpoints · 21/09/2009 19:10

There is something rather smug and sinister about wogan.

cocolepew · 21/09/2009 19:11

Oh yes Wogan is v v smug.

potplant · 21/09/2009 19:11

Chris Moyles is the new Chris Evans IMO.

Used to be good, but then started to believe his own hype and is now a bit of a tit.

Chris Evans had a spell in the wilderness and is much nicer for it. I think his drive time show is great (not that I listen very often).

TsarChasm · 21/09/2009 19:12

I like Ken Bruce - he's got a nice voice (that makes me sound about 72 )

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 21/09/2009 19:12

Gah! Jo Wiley, no, she drives me nuts.

It's straight over to Ken Bruce as soon as I hear her voice.

dogonpoints · 21/09/2009 19:13

Isn't he, coco.

dogonpoints · 21/09/2009 19:13

oo no, don't like Bruce or his voice at all

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 21/09/2009 19:15

I love some bits of Radio 2, but told them (in a recent survey) that they need to cull Sarah, Bruce, Steve and all the bloody organ music to buy my loyalty.

cocolepew · 21/09/2009 19:16

No Ken must stay, I can't listen to Steve and his posse ego.

dogonpoints · 21/09/2009 19:17

yes, florence. And Elaine freakin Paige with the musicals show.

And the old bloke who does hits from 1953 and whatnot.

dogonpoints · 21/09/2009 19:17

and dale winton depresses me

cocolepew · 21/09/2009 19:18

Unfortunately between now and when he leaves Wogan will read every email and text saying how wonderful he is. I actually like Lynn and Deadly best on his show, And Charles Nove and John Marsh.

dogonpoints · 21/09/2009 19:19

maconi and radcliffe I adore - I rarely listen to the radio at 8pm though.

TsarChasm · 21/09/2009 19:19

Oh yes Steve Wright is waaaaaay past his sell-by with that posse format (apart from Ask Elvis).

potplant · 21/09/2009 19:19

I quite like the Elaine Page show.

I used to love Russell Brand show

GibbonInARibbon · 21/09/2009 19:22

YANBU

At all.

BramblyHedge · 21/09/2009 19:23

Can't belive that nobody has mentioned The High-Twatness himself... Steve Wright. I cannot think of one decent thing about his show. Lets read out regional headlines - that will be entertaining. Lets read some random news and sound like we haven't the faintest clue what we are talking about. Let kiss celebs bottoms and ask daft questions. Lets read out pointless factoids. AAhhhh - I hate him.

TsarChasm · 21/09/2009 19:23

I miss Russell Brand altogether (there I said it) but he's been assimilated into the Borg Hollywood machine, so I assume that's that. All irony gone forever from his humour.

dogonpoints · 21/09/2009 19:23

quite a few have mentioned, brambly

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 21/09/2009 19:24

BH, I said that Steve should be culled! Isn't that hard enough for you?

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 21/09/2009 19:24

backtoschoolmummy · 21/09/2009 19:24

I have to say that yes YABU. I love Chris Moyles, have listened to his show for years and even been on it in the past as a contestant. I know a lot of people don't seem to 'get' his hunour but I find him very funny and couldn't imagine my mornings without him on the radio. I also love his team and the whole team ethos and love hearing about Rachel's wedding plans etc etc
