To be a bit annoyed that my cleaner made herself a cuppa?

kwaker5 · 19/08/2009 20:01

Have had a cleaner for about 8 weeks. On first visit I offered her a cuppa as I was having one but she declined and said she always brought her own drinks with her [pointed to cool bag].

I usually let her in and clear off with the DCs while she's there but last week I came back a bit earlier than normal and noticed she'd made herself a brew.

I'm not really pissed off but it's niggling at me. Isn't there and unwritten rule that they shouldn't go in your cupboards/drawers?

pickyvic · 21/08/2009 17:39

Danceaway · 21/08/2009 17:54

scottishmummy · 21/08/2009 17:55

MN at its best

ElieRM · 21/08/2009 17:57

She didn't mean the lower orders, Danceaway. Let's not get silly.

gypsymoon · 21/08/2009 17:58

Can only spare a second...got to get back to sitting on my arse, eating crisps and watching the kids run wild afterall that's what I'm paid to do...will supply my own milk and water though

kittywise · 21/08/2009 18:15

scottishmummy, yes there was an awful lot of it, huffing and all that, not from me I hope, I haven't felt huffy or indignant any any point

It's not even my thread

pickyvic · 21/08/2009 18:18

i know - im just generous to a fault sometimes

expatinscotland · 21/08/2009 18:21

here's a spliff for ya, picky, the buggers' teens tried to flush this perfectly good cannabis down the loo! i found it when i went to clean their shit.

i got paid, too.

scottishmummy · 21/08/2009 18:23

i am free and easy with my biscuits and plethora of tea.

after perusing my cupboards i have

earl grey
assam
english breakfast

poncey fruit teas
camomile tea
green tea

scottishmummy · 21/08/2009 18:26

was the blow still emm serviceable?were they hiding it from the folks

adds whole new dimension that is some good shit you are smoking

expatinscotland · 21/08/2009 18:28

I have:

Tesco Value Custard Cremes
Tesco brand jaffa cakes
Jammie Dodgers (not the Tesco brand! The real McCoy was on offer 2 for a quid)
McVitie's digestives and rich tea biscuits
Plain chocolate Hob Nobbs
KitKat

LOADS of tea! Green tea, chamomile, various Celestial Seasonings teas including chai, good ol' Tetley, fennel.

Also have a filter coffeemaker for you non-tea lovers.

Help yourselves, I'm too fecking lazy to make you a cuppa.

expatinscotland · 21/08/2009 18:29

I'd think they were keeping that for themselves, scottish. It's far too expensive for peons.

scottishmummy · 21/08/2009 18:33

i consider McVites to be king of biscuits.great for dunking

custard cream, yikes its been yonks since i had them

i don't really eat biccies,so never have any
but do like shortbread.yum

expatinscotland · 21/08/2009 18:46

I keep biccies for the girls and for guests.

I love shortbread, but only if I make it.

Mmmm.

I have a poncey Lakeland stone thingme that bakes shortbread into tails with a thistle on them.

So naff, it's cool.

scottishmummy · 21/08/2009 18:51

christ i made shortbread onece, like shot put.now i just buy it

but i do make smashing tablet, but have bad habit of scoffing it,so cant make all the time

expatinscotland · 21/08/2009 18:56

gawd, i HATE tablet! the DH and the girls are Lowlanders, and they love that minging tablet which is the dry boak. i make it for them rather reluctantly, and still secretly grin everytime they ask for broon sauce in a chippy and the person at the counter tells them there is naene, or that they need to pay 15p a sachet for that boggin' substance.

haahaahaaa!

that's a horrid thing to do to chips, slathering them in that wallpaper paste!

scottishmummy · 21/08/2009 19:02

nane sauce LOL.sachets are an abomination. love chippy sauce esp all vinegary. i like edinburgh chippies saltNSauce.

scottish sweet tooth,i really love tablet, and genuinely dont make so much as i would eat it all

expatinscotland · 21/08/2009 19:05

that chippy broon sauce is even worse than HP, IMO. it tastes like wallpaper glue. it's vile and a horrid thing to do to chips.

worse is that DH prefers a pizza supper, slathered in that stuff.

that's not even food, IMO.

and now the girls fancy it as well.

the chippy here now know his sad Edinburgh self and made to accommodate him with broon sauce.

gimme the fish supper with salt and vinegar ANY day.

TheOnlyDailyMaleForMeisDH · 21/08/2009 19:07

Is Kitty actively trying to get in the DM?

scottishmummy · 21/08/2009 19:08

aye saltNsauce and vinegar and a buttered roll.or a white pudding supper wi curry sauce

expatinscotland · 21/08/2009 19:12

pass the bucket!

boak!

right up there with my pal in Glesga the other day, 'ooo, i had a haggis supper.'

mmmm.

NOT.
