I don't even notice a poster's name unless I really agree/disagree with an opinion. And then I wouldn't think about what it said about a poster.

I didn't consider it when I named myself, I don't know what image mine gives.

OP, there are a huge amount of women/people/little green men posting on MN, and unfortunately unless you post a lot, you are not really going to get "known". Its not other posters being unfriendly, just due to the huge amount of traffic on here.

I joined from a much smaller board and it took a while to ajust to being a very small fish indeed . I'm over myself now, but it took a while!!!

I have not noticed you before, so am definitely not ignoring you or do not like you.

Not because of your name though, just because there are a lot of posters on MN and unless a poster says something incredibly witty/offensive/insightful I don't really take a note of the name.

Smallegg does make you sound a bit insignificant and down on yourself. GoodEgg is better, or something completely different.
