I got the idea from NetMums of all places. I blame this thread and BigBellasBeerBelly.

I'll start. I was 16 1/2.

The 'youth' comment... still making me giggle.

I was nearly 21. BF at the time was 28. he was gorgeous, it was great and we sat up with him reciting poetry til bonkers o'clock in the morning (Winnie the Pooh, If I was a Bear and a Big Bear Too).

I was in lurve. He dumped me less than 12 months later with the old line 'I can never settle down with anyone but I'll always love you'. He ran off to London to be a cool arty type, just as I suspected he would one day.

Saw him on facebook a few months ago. He's 50 now and obviously dyes his hair. Til I saw the picture and realised the hair dye thing, I still had a kind of crush on him. DH is real love, but he was my first love/lust so was kind of hard to forget. Now, though, hair dye?? Boak!

I hope DD is in lurve when she has her first attempt at it. I think it really makes a difference.

JetLi · 15/04/2009 18:09

16 and a half - 28th December. Would've been the 24th only first boyfriend got performance anxiety if you get my drift!! Bless. Can even remember what pants I was wearing

BalloonSlayer · 15/04/2009 18:13

I was 21 (thank God I was not the oldest on here).

I only did it as I thought it was about time - all my friends had.

Wished I hadn't bothered. He had had loads of girlfriends before me and he was crap. It hurt like mad every time. I thought there was something wrong with me.

When I met ExH I thought I'd better get sex over as quick as possible as it would probably be the end of the relationship. Was gobsmacked that it was good. I don't think I said "I never knew it could be like this" but I probably thought it.

DH is much better still . . .

Stretch · 15/04/2009 18:15

EyeballsintheSky · 15/04/2009 18:16

screamingabdab · 15/04/2009 18:19

Eyeballs My Dh was quite old and he's bloody brilliant at it, so no shame in being "mature"

squilly · 15/04/2009 18:20

noonki · 15/04/2009 18:24

I was 15 and spent 3 months discussing the pros and cons with my then boyfriend. (I kept giving the pros, he gave the cons, god I probably nagged him into it!)

It took three attempts and I was convinced I was pregnant despite being on the pill and using a condom!

SarahL2 · 15/04/2009 18:24

belcantwait · 15/04/2009 18:28

TigersEasterchick · 15/04/2009 18:28

18 and a half.

He was 32. I had shunned a few younger guys who were equally inexperienced as I decided I wanted someone who knew what they were doing ... didn't help, was still crap

Remotew · 15/04/2009 18:28

14, with my first love and it was beautiful. We had been going out for around 12 months before we could do it. Stayed together for another year and a half. Too much too young and it broke both our hearts when we split.

belcantwait · 15/04/2009 18:29

differentID · 15/04/2009 18:30
