I got the idea from NetMums of all places. I blame this thread and BigBellasBeerBelly.

I'll start. I was 16 1/2.

I'm glad I didn't wait until my wedding night as DH got clattered and fell asleep before I'd even got my shoes off ! He never even saw the underwear I'd painstakingly selected . What an anti climax (pardon the pun) that would have been, eh ?!

FlorenceAndtheWashingMachine · 16/04/2009 16:58

I was 20, he was gorgeous and it was a truly wonderful night. I was relieved as I had previously had a very traumatic failed attempt (or ten) at 18 with a man I truly adored (and still do ).

Mr Sextastic was fantastic in bed but, sadly, turned out to be quite, quite mad. I stayed with him for two years despite that because I strongly suspected that no-one else would match him in bed and I have been proved right!

nametaken · 16/04/2009 19:12

I was 9 when I lost my virginity, although I wasn't consenting

namechanged, obviously.

claireybee · 16/04/2009 19:41

nametaken. So sorry

nametaken · 16/04/2009 19:46

Thanks claireybee. Actually, I had some very good therapy later on in life and I have kind of come to terms with it. An uncle who lived with us for a year when he was homeless who was later diagnosed as being psycitsophrenic.

I prefer to remember the time I had consensual sex with my first real boyfriend though.

Meglet · 16/04/2009 20:06

Ha! I didn't 'wait' to lose my virginity either. I didn't have a boyfriend 'til I was 22. I didn't get the chance until then.

.

suwoo · 17/04/2009 08:20

Sorry to hear about that nametaken . I have tried to google 'psycitsophrenic' but can't find a definition of it. What does it mean?

DrNortherner · 17/04/2009 08:24

I was 15 and it was with my 15 year old boyfriend of 18 months - his first time too. It was terrible - though went on to improve as time went by!

leonifay · 17/04/2009 08:33

suwoo, its not very pc but the only way i can think of decribiong it is when you can hear voices in your head or have 2 personalities. (the word doesnt really sound like its said) i hope thaat helps.

jennybensmummy · 17/04/2009 09:38

i was 17 and with a boyfriend id been with a couple of months it was conmsensual but then got rougher than i wanted (by a long way) and he didnt stop, carried on seeing him for a further year and a half - probably because i didnt realise this wasnt normal - was first boyfriend really and i was a bit of a loner so didnt discuss with friends! got my own back though as when i went to uni i cheated on him numerous times before getting rid of him as then i knew that i could do better!

suwoo · 17/04/2009 09:43

I thought that was scizophrenic?

Aah I see, it was a spelling mistake. Sorry thought it was a condition I hadn't heard of.

suwoo · 17/04/2009 09:45

Obviously I can't spell it either.....

schizophrenic.

prettybird · 17/04/2009 09:48

Nearly 22, at Uni. 2nd serious boyfriend (as in, someone I'd gone out together for more than a month).

mummywilldrive · 17/04/2009 16:34

16 I met my DH 2 weeks later too.

laweaselmys · 17/04/2009 17:31

19 with DP. I's just realised I loved him, and didn't waste any time after that.

I did kind of wait and am proud but to be honest there were two other guys I would have done it with - one we never had the opportunity because our parents did not trust us at all, and the other because he knew I was just fed up and wanted to get it over with and he was gracious enough to refuse to let me.

laweaselmys · 17/04/2009 17:32

It was in his scummy student house though...

Remotew · 17/04/2009 19:40

So the general consensus is between 15 and 23 is normal.

Nametaken for you but glad you got the guidance you needed.

I see I was one of the youngest. Even then I knew it.

CottageChicken · 17/04/2009 23:31

16 - he was 16 and we had known each other, dated/on off since age 11 - we did it in his car in a field behind my house. Told parents we were at a film. Lasted too long - didn't use protection or lube - ouch ouch.

When he dropped me off my mum said 'Was the film sad?' I was like...er...no? She said 'Oh, just because your mascara is sort of smudged and puffy.'

I quickly converted to lesbianism at age 19 and he is still my best friend.

notnowbernard · 17/04/2009 23:34

14 (nearly 15)

He was 16

We were both stone cold sober (it happened in the afternoon)

And I really enjoyed it up until the actual penetration bit
