of course it's none of my business and im sure i should just mind my own but, really? BHS?

OP posts:
Gateau · 04/02/2009 11:06

Because I was asked!!
Are you missing something lizzylou?

georgimama · 04/02/2009 11:07

The OP was nasty Lizzylou. The thread has just continued in the vein in which it was begun.

georgimama · 04/02/2009 11:08

Oh dear.

I wore a black dress to my brother's wedding, and a black and white dress to one of my friend's weddings.

And (horror of horrors) they both came from Coast.

I am just beyond the pale.

Lizzylou · 04/02/2009 11:10

Obviously we were asked our opinion, there are just ways of expressing them.

Buda · 04/02/2009 11:10

Thanks for that Gateau. I was actually trying to get people to stop attacking the OP. Attacking people is becoming the done thing on here and it is really horrible. Would people attack in real-life so much? Say you were in the put with a few friends and one says what the OP and asks for opinions. Would you attack her? I doubt it. Not many people would. It would be a discussion with some people saying the agreed and others saying that they didn't agree for whatever reason. But on here people just dive in and attack. It's bloody rude.

Censor eh? I have been called worse I suppose.

Oblomov · 04/02/2009 11:10

Mn is mad at the moment.
What is going on ?

Gateau · 04/02/2009 11:10

Lovvvvvely list, reality.
But nobody actually cares.

Lizzylou · 04/02/2009 11:11

I have no idea Oblomov, but I think I may do some work now, so that's a good thing

georgimama · 04/02/2009 11:13

The OP was really unpleasant Oblomov. This is being pointed out to the OP. Who has come on and further admitted that she doesn't like the bride anyway.

What is the problem? Apart from that the OP is your mate?

mrsruffallo · 04/02/2009 11:13

Brides with tattoos!!
Nasty

Reality you would have had a fab time at my wedding and you would probably still speak about how horrible it was (13 yeas on!)

-had a homemade dress

-no bridesmaid

-one of the gueats was indeed dressed in black and you could not miss her as there was just 12 people at the wedding (including me and DH)

-we had a swiss traditional dish at my parents house

-no wedding list

It was the berst day of my life though!

Buda · 04/02/2009 11:15

'Say you were in the put with a few friends' - should read 'pub' obv!

Gateau - people were asked if the OP was being unreasonable. The polite thing to do is to agree or disagree and put a reason/reasons if you so choose. There is no need to attack anyone.

Think I have come across you before and not been overly bowled over by your manner. Nothing's changed I see.

MrsMattie · 04/02/2009 11:15

lol@mnrsruffalo.

My best mate is getting married next month. She is covered in tatts. She's marrying another girl, too

Gateau · 04/02/2009 11:15

The difference BUDA: This is NOT real life. I wonder would the OP have called the OP a chav to her face??!
If the OP is going to place such bitchy posts, she should be prepared for the backlash.
The same goes for anyone who asks an opinion on AIBU - as the disclaimer at the top of the page states. Or haven't you read it?
You actually TOLD us what to write in your post

Gorionine · 04/02/2009 11:16

best even!

Oblomov · 04/02/2009 11:16

That is a bit of an assumption georgimama.
And yes, I have seen Mamazon around over the years.
I don't think that is relevant here.
I am not a censor, by the way.

'I am being judgmentle. and your right, she isn't someone i would choose to be within my own circle of friends, but thankfully im not the one marrying her and my brother is just as much a PITA. in fact i think she could probably do better than HIM.'

I LOVE your honesty Mamazon, it's so refreshing

compo · 04/02/2009 11:18

yes if I was in a pub and my sil said 'hey, why don't we go for a look around for dresses as you're going to look a bit of a chav in that BHS one you like' I'd give her orse than the OP has got on here

Gorionine · 04/02/2009 11:18

I knew you'd love it !

Gateau · 04/02/2009 11:18

Ditto, BUDA. I'm not bowled over by yours either. But as we'll never meet, who cares?
I answer what I think to ludicrous, nasty questions. If people don't like that it's their problem and they should go off to a non-contentious area of MN.

Oblomov · 04/02/2009 11:19

o.k. now I am starting to smirk at some of the stuff being written.

MrsMattie · 04/02/2009 11:19

Oh, I saw the best (and most horrendously bitchy) website once (can't recall URL) with horrific pics of pregnant brides.

kkey21 · 04/02/2009 11:20

Having just read the opening post my comment is....You could have a £20,000 dress and still look like a muppet or a £20 and look stunning...Its all about what it looks like on the person not how much it cost!
