People are forever ranting on at me for having dd too young as if i don't already know it. Just wish i could shut them up ... any suggestions on how to do that?

Daisy15, you are not going to get the answers you want from a website. You need people in RL, you know to help. People will also rant on here as they do in real life. You now have to work on figuring the world out as everybody else does. But with a kid... Do you have to tell people your age if they are strangers? You don't have to lie ( you can see where that gets you but you don't have to wear it on your sleeve.) My aunt who lives in Spain and doesn't really know my sister has strangly never forgiven her!!! We, the rest of the family can't figure that out and we aren't going to so why keep talking about it.

Ra, I live in Bangladesh for part of the year and know plenty about abuse and trauma and poverty. Stuff beyond your wildest nightmares.

Tacitly condoning bearing children and not being able to supprt them does noone any favours. Least of all the children.

nappyaddict · 12/12/2008 23:25

korma please tell me you saw the irony when i said it made perfect sense!

Daisy15 · 12/12/2008 23:25

starbear to some extent i agree with you but sometimes its easy to just get the laptop out and forget about the advise people dish out to you on a daily basis. when it's people you don't know they don't judge you on who you are as a person but say what they really think.

Personal responsibility is a thing of the past, I think Moondog. You're terribly oldfashioned.

Aye Quattro.
I forget that we are all supposed to tolerate, nay embrace a wide variety of 'lifestyle choices'.

ZZZzzzzz. Night all. (Confused)

Daisy15 · 12/12/2008 23:30

you've misinterepreted what i meant korma. I mean to say that i don't have to think about real life when i type about my problems.

OP posts:
starbear · 12/12/2008 23:30

Oh daisy they are still on at you for lying.
I'm on here because I can't be bothered to make casserole for tomorrow, empty the dishwasher and make a star costume for DS. We are just bored not looking for real answers. If you want real answers to real questions ask question like how do I make gingerbread or get a stain off kids clothes. People are much nicer then.

SparklyGothKat · 12/12/2008 23:30

troll

VivaLaPotPourri · 12/12/2008 23:32

Daisy, I presume you're new (I don't do searches) - take a wee break, change your name and come back and just be honest

Quattrocento · 12/12/2008 23:32

I'm not judgemental about other people's lifestyle choices. I'm all for people doing lots of different things. I just don't want to pay for their lifestyle choices. That's not unreasonable, is it?

ra29 · 12/12/2008 23:33

Yes old-fashioned- far better to go back to the days of shame- where single mothers were locked up in mental hospitals and their children speedily adopted- those were the days...
God forbid we try and understand what factors lead to teenage pregnancy, try and even put help in for those who are vulnerable and oh no- show some compassion.

Daisy15 · 12/12/2008 23:33

Thanks starbear, i think when i get to the gingerbread making stage in my life i'll create a thread on it but until then i think i best get on with reality.

Ahhhh now with that response you do look 15! :D

CoteDAzur · 12/12/2008 23:33

OP - You were too young when you had DD. In fact, whoever impregnated you could/should have been jailed as a sex offender.

I'm with moondog re 'personal responsibility'.
