to think that Kerry Katona sounded either drunk/drugged or as though she'd had a stroke on tv this morning

........ was anyone else watching this?

I was amazed when Phillip Scofield asked her if there was somethng wrong with her as she was slurring her words. I was imagining what his producer was screeching down his ear piece and feeling sorry for him being put on the spot like that. And actually felt sorry for KK too - a bit.

It was riviting tv.....

Speaking as some one who has done coke in the past, that is not what she has taken, it does not make you talk that way. And she would have rubbing her nose and face.

I do genuinely believe that it maybe medication. I also think that she is a young mum and is struggling under media pressure while trying to get herself better. She needs help not judgement.

Also what is wrong with her wanting to make money to give her dc's a good life?

I agree with Mayorquimby

do you have net curtains to twitch you lot?

leave KK alone, she needs help not ridicule

matildax · 22/10/2008 14:18

yes i see your point, but what i am trying to get across is, that if the meds she takes make this speech thing happen, then she would have been aware that it comes across as strange to people and she would have cleared it up, as in spoke about it straightaway, or mentioned it in other interviews, or in her magazine column.
maybe it wasnt alcohol, but there was definitely something not quite right there.

I was an alcoholic, hat, and I agree you know when someone's drunk if you're a drunk, too or used to be around someone who is a drunk. And she struck me as someone who was.

I'm sure there are meds that make you like that, that's why I said meds or alcohol.

matildax · 22/10/2008 14:21

why does she need help????? she said on that interview, she is fine her bi poloar apparently is under control. so what help exactly does she need???
and no i dont agree with the way she makes money, but thats just my opinion.
each to their own and all that........

Aitch · 22/10/2008 14:21

honestly, she behaved just like a pal of mine when he's on lithium. and i thought she defended herself fairly coherently (albeit slurrily iykwim?)

someone posted on here that they'd worked with KK in a call centre yonks ago and that she was genuinely a great lass, very charismatic but also had been through some very rough times and was therefore very kind and considerate of others.

expatinscotland · 22/10/2008 14:22

Who knows, but she was deffo on something.

plus, she seemed just as slurry in the clip from her show... perhaps that's just how she speaks if she's on bipolar meds?

Oliveoil · 22/10/2008 14:27

she needs help as she has had a shitty upbringing and by all account her family - or the ones you see in the paper - are a shower of bastards, selling her to the highest bidder

she seems to have vvvv low self esteem and I think she needs to be taken in line by someone who HAS HER BEST INTERESTS AT HEART

I feel sorry for her tbh

'Well strictly speaking there is no such thing as an ex alcoholic-'

Semantics or no, she was on something, and my guess is either booze or meds or both.

Last I checked, I was allowed to have that opinion and also, there are people who consider their alcholism in the past, but that's a whole other issue that has been debated on here extensively in the dependent drinker threads that turned rather nasty and I'm really not interested in getting into that on here again.

i think everyone feels sorry for her, don't they? and yet... there is a part of me that wishes she'd use the brains and chutzpah god undoubtedly gave her and start taking care of herself better. like not getting her tits out immediately she has them lopped off. but then, at that level of celebrity what else can she do? it's a big fat shame.

I have never been a fan of Kerry Katona, but I have to see it is very sad to see her struggling with WHATEVER it is that she is struggling with in the interview. She was annoying when she was loud, brash and bubbly, but she is seem tragic to me now...
