to think my friend shouldn't use formula just so she can have a drink and an unbroken nights sleeph

My friend is mixed feeding, she gives a couple of bottles of formula in the day.

Her dd is 10 weeks and she told me tat tonight her dd is going to have formula in the night even though she is always b/f at night. She said she is going to have a few drinks then slee in the spare room whuile DH does this one night duty.

AIBU to think that this is selfish and that her dd shoud not be denied breast milk just for her own selfish reasons?

Blu · 18/10/2008 16:39

Typo, how sweet of you to start your second thread ever to express your concern about you friend's POOR baby. Is she the same feckless, selfish friend who treated your cooker, of sentimental value, so selfishly?

The poor child should be taken into care asap, really.

PuzzleRocks · 18/10/2008 16:40

It must be wonderful to be perfect. What's that like?

SheikYerbouti · 18/10/2008 16:40

Oooh, Link please Blu

On second thought, don't - I have things to do

wannaBe · 18/10/2008 16:40

Twiglett · 18/10/2008 16:41

YABU and so none of your business and good for her and for him to bond with his daughter if that's what they've decided

squatchette · 18/10/2008 16:41

How bloody judgemental ! Are you for real??
My baby is also on mixed feeds as i sometimes need to see to my other 2 children one of whom is disabled and needs me quite a bit.I think as mothers we have enough guilt loaded upon us regarding our choices. And you as a friend should not be adding to this.
As others have said it's none of your business anyway.

wannaBe · 18/10/2008 16:42

great minds blu.

AbbaFan · 18/10/2008 16:42

I always wish Oddbins had a shelf of formula to make my evenings even easier to plan.

YABU. As a suggestion, do her a favour and keep your nose out of her parenting choices. I hope you're a troll, I really do.

SalLikesCoffee · 18/10/2008 17:00

Ah ok, obvious troll. Phew.

mumeeee · 18/10/2008 17:37

YABU. It is her baby and a couple of bottles of formasla won't hurt her.

macaco · 18/10/2008 17:59

none of your business. Are you always this sanctimonious?

Mandelbrot · 18/10/2008 18:01

If you were my friend I'd want to drink.

myermay · 18/10/2008 18:06

god how dreadful her child having more formula than normal - have you not got anything more important to worry about????

I hope your friend enjoys her drink and full night sleep - god know she probably needs it.

What an understanding friend you are

cocoleBOO · 18/10/2008 18:06

Do you have any friends left?

Notalone · 18/10/2008 18:09

I sincerely hope you are not a real person and that you are a troll after both the threads I have read today. If you are a troll then you are actually pretty bloody boring - this has all been done a million times before. If you are not a troll then I pity you, I really do. You must have an incredibly sad life to stew over things that are downright ridiculous and none of your business. Either way Typo you lose so why don't you just go away until you have something worthwhile to talk about, no-one cares one iota about the shite you are spurting atm
