LB being humped.. and loving it.

actually he looks so young (was a lot very slightly younger than me even then) that I suspect this was taken at about the same time 15 yrs ago. He did something related at college.

I really, really, hope he's got a haircut since then.

{sobs}

Pan · 01/10/2008 00:16

hmm..my lady...hmm..my lady...hmm..my lady.......change your judgey-pants Quattro..they seem to be getting a little tight.

onebatmother · 01/10/2008 00:18

hatrick, it's my ex white boy with dreadlocks! Really?

Oh gosh, you seemed quite bullish so I was bullish back, but I completely (recent experience) understand that criticism of DPs can be painful and I'm really sorry to have upset you if so. Really.

onebatmother · 01/10/2008 00:19

tight judgy-pants infinitely preferable to limp gear-stick, pan.

Pan · 01/10/2008 00:21

I will gladly take your word that that, batty.

onebatmother · 01/10/2008 00:22

and on that bumshell..I leave you

freakin' hell. freakin' HELL!

Quattrocento · 01/10/2008 00:27

My judgey pants are not as tight as your cycling shorts Pan ...

Pan · 01/10/2008 00:32

well, other's beg to differ there Q. My lady finds it attractive and......appreciates men's thighs when they cycle regularly..she has a thing for it, so yes, the Beowulf thing with the resultant thighs ARE sexy to some women. This MAY be news just in to the "isn't he sooo sexy 'cause he drives a car" girlies....IYSWIM

Quattrocento · 01/10/2008 00:35

Oh yes, men on bikes. Verry fetching. Also men on scooters. And men on trikes. And unicycles. The power in their thighs ...

Pan · 01/10/2008 00:37

ok.
night.

onebatmother · 01/10/2008 00:37

fuckinghell! that is probably the weirdest coincidence that I've ever experienced.

And I do feel that fate has told me to stop being such a cow.. Stop mocking people, old lady! or I'll make every image you search for have one of your previous sexual partners in it... Jesus fucking christ! I am totally freaked. Next thing, it'll be lovely Jamie 1986-92 wearing fucking French pigskin driving gloves!

(snoooort!.. that would never happen, even in this freaky pre-apocalyptic coincidental webworld)

onebatmother · 01/10/2008 00:39

You are both being rather emphatic, chaps.

tigermoth · 01/10/2008 07:06

If any of you want to try out a Segway, get yourselves down to Greenwich's Car Free Day this Sunday There will be lots of women (and men) scooting round on them, so you can decide for yourselves if men on segways are sexy or not. And join them if you feel the urge!

Blackduck · 01/10/2008 07:18

I always find this fascinating why people get so het up about whether you can drive or not (knew Cod would be the OP as this is one of her things)...I have felt like I have 'fessed up to being a mass murderer because I don't drive. Why? My decision, my choice. Dp can drive, but has zero interest in cars (which reminds me asof today we own ours outright!)

onebatmother · 01/10/2008 07:18

d'you know, tigermoth, I might pass on that

Am still reeling.

noddyholder · 01/10/2008 07:34

god is this archaic convo still rumbling on?Well done hatrick for keeping a dignified cool head I would probably have lost it in your situation!

NotCod · 01/10/2008 07:53

there is a certian amoutn of hilarity that men on amainly womans website are questioning what we find attrractive

dh" there are MEN on mumsnet?!WHY?"

a good quesiton imo

OP posts:
SaintRiven · 01/10/2008 08:30

a day centre man? What is meant by that?

SaintRiven · 01/10/2008 08:38

not a 'real' man if can't cycle 10 miles and needs what is actually a large wheelchair to get anywhere. In my opinion.
Being dependant on a machine is horribly unsexy. So there.

UnquietDad · 01/10/2008 09:10

I find it disgracefully unattractive if a woman can't look good in a short skirt, lipstick and killer heels, while cooking a four-course meal and doing the hoovering.

giantkatestacks · 01/10/2008 09:30

what is this car stuff about? have you all gone completely mad? what on earth does it matter if someone can drive or not?

i find a man who does his share of the work around the house and parents well without grumbling infinately more sexy...

Threadworrm · 01/10/2008 09:33

Glad you are enjoying driving onebat. I also feel more desirable as a driver -- its to do with feeling more masterful/forceful in one's own life.

DH, on the other hand ... well, he is physically quite masculine, so he doesn't need a car-as-willy to, er, ram that point home.

(He is an HGV driver in fact.)

amess · 01/10/2008 09:37

Just can't believe the question so had to take a look at the replies - any excuse not to do the housework! IMO yes you are being v v unreasonable - but then again maybe it's not your fault and you had a dad who could do all those "manly" things and so just expect any man to be able to and want to.

SaintRiven · 01/10/2008 09:55

I'm still waiting for a reply on 'day centre' man. I reckon its a slur on disabled people.

onebatmother · 01/10/2008 09:57

How brilliant Threadie!

REally, chaps, I for one am being v tongue in cheek. I do think that as a general rule the more skills someone has, the more attractive they are - both men and women. But this is one of those things that is so totally dependent on many other variables that it's not possible to have a serious discussion about it, don't you think? Which is why I've been having a very silly one.
So I say again - du calme! Or I will get out my French pigskin driving-gloves and do that thwacking on both cheeks (also prob French) thing to you all.

BTW if anyone has reason to be it is I, after last night's horrific denouement.
