God I've known about Anna living in paris for ages

You are all so last thread...

zazen · 30/09/2008 22:25

Moi aussi!

Pan · 30/09/2008 22:41

my best friend is a disgustingly attractive bloke...great looking, charming, fantastic cook, reportedly a master in bed, and really funny - and has no intention of ever learning to drive and sentence himself to the dreary mess that drivers end up serving.

and he isn't called Anna and he doesn't live in Paris, for sake of completeness.

Pan · 30/09/2008 22:42

Hmmm interesting mixing of metaphors there,....

LittleBella · 30/09/2008 22:43

Why isn't he married?

Is it because he can't drive?

Pan · 30/09/2008 22:47

Exactement!!

Nope. He is gay, and so doesn't have to try to please the unevolved facet of women which "demands" a bloke must be able to drive a steaming pile of expensive poo to be considered 'attractive'.....

onebatmother · 30/09/2008 22:48

he's gay, though, right?

Pan · 30/09/2008 22:49

yes batty..the clue was in my last post.

LittleBella · 30/09/2008 22:49

So why are you telling us about htis irrelevant man????

It is not unevolved to want a man to know how to use a piece of machinery that's pretty essential to bog standard life. Like the washing machine or the iron.

onebatmother · 30/09/2008 22:51

Sweet Christ I was joking!!

Oh, that really is the best x-post ever.

the politics of desire in gay relationships are entirely different.

Threadwworm · 30/09/2008 22:51

Exactly LB. The point isn't how attractive a non-driving man is, but how unattractable a woman is when she has to do all the tesco runs, kids' activity runs, etc, while he sits at home and Reads Imprtant Photocopies.

Pan · 30/09/2008 22:52

no LB...I was referring to the driving hting in the OP. with one million posts to read at 10.45 I took a short cut!!

onebatmother · 30/09/2008 22:53

and what LB said.. again.

(psst LB I think the disposable income gay thing might mean that they could stretch to a cleaner)

onebatmother · 30/09/2008 22:54

LOL at the specificity of Threadie's "Reads Imprtant Photocopies".

Pan · 30/09/2008 22:55

just find a nice gay man and you'll all be sorted......

Blu · 30/09/2008 22:56

I think I would find a man who took any position other than UQD's on this thread utterly unnattractive....

LittleBella · 30/09/2008 22:58

OK, what's his number?

LittleBella · 30/09/2008 22:58

(who needs sex anyway?)

GodzillasBumcheek · 30/09/2008 22:59

I do the Tesco (Asda) runs because I Like Shopping (even if it's for gravy granules and frozen peas). The taxi driver does all the driving, and i get away from the kids for a few hours while DH looks after 'em.

DH does all the 'kids' activity runs', walking. That way they all get 'fresh' air and exercise too

What else d'ye need car for?

onebatmother · 30/09/2008 23:01

you don't think he's a bit exposed, Blu, in assuming that position?

He's quite right - but doesn't quite cover the 'why wouldn't you learn, so that you could, if you needed to, drive' question.

Threadwworm · 30/09/2008 23:02

Mine get fresh air and exercise up to their gills. But their classes-type-things are too far to walk.

onebatmother · 30/09/2008 23:03

sorry, 'he' is v rude of me, UQD.
