The loss of one hour per night will f up behaviour

You can't be serious.

PrettyLittleRose · 25/10/2026 19:39

Why?

The behaviour change

So you're putting them to bed an hour earlier? This is what I mean, but many saying put them to bed following the time today's clock says

God yes! It’s hard not getting to start my evening until gone 9pm.

But as I say, I’m not sure how long it’ll last.

Yupstillhere · 25/10/2026 19:48

If they'd had school this morning it would of possibly been a factor but they didn't, put them to bed at the normal time and they get up at the normal time. Unless they're little and super tired, then you may need a couple of nights to adjust.

24 months old? 🙄

That means 2

2 years perhaps

You're really over thinking it. Just put them to bed at 8:30 or a bit earlier if they're that tired. Tomorrow it'll be like nothing happened.

But what about the other nights

The "real time" is what it says on the clock. Now. Go by that.

But how can it be if they changed it

I think everyone should stop replying. Nobody is this stupid. It’s a troll post.

JoleneJoleneJoleneJoleneJolene · 25/10/2026 19:52

If it's not a troll it deserves to go to classics for it's rabid absurdity

Ah! On threads where development/ sleep/ behaviour is discussed, months are usually used up until the age of around three.

Because there is a huge difference, developmentally, between a child who is 24 months and one who is 35 months, despite, as you say, them both being two 😊

PeasOff · 25/10/2026 19:53

Meh. It's an hour.

If you're that worried why not get off here and get them to bed now?

Wheredidcottoneyedjoecomefromandwheredidhego · 25/10/2026 19:53

But that's what i'm asking, what IS the normal time, 7.30 now or 8.30, it must be 7.30 because of the hour?

When mine were little it was just 2, 2 and a half, 3 etc. I have never seen or heard a child be referred to as 35 months

HewasH2O · 25/10/2026 19:54

It's 19.54

Your child might not be as sensitive as mine.

OP go and have a lie down in a dark room. It's nearly eight o'clock..I think you're a troll, not sure why I'm engaging, good luck

Growlybear83 · 25/10/2026 19:57

I never gave the clocks changing a second thought when my daughter was little. Surely children don't have such rigid routines that an hour’s change would be an issue?

Wheredidcottoneyedjoecomefromandwheredidhego · 25/10/2026 19:57

I can hear yawning downstairs, now i'm worried we've gone over. Going to do bedtime now, whether it's the right time or not, my instinct is telling me it's better to

I was up at 6 this morning having not slept because the dogs tummy clocks hadn’t gone back. Same at 4pm when they decided it was tea time. Wouldn’t go for a walk as it was ear force 10 they don’t like wind and were attacked by a marsh harrier yesterday
