Just that really

To be honest OP time is just a concept that acts as a coordinate in the four-dimensional spacetime continuum and a marker of increasing entropy, while humans use it as a mental framework to sequence change, movement, and memory.

🙌👆😂

It could be an awful week though

But why??? They will still have the same number of hours sleep a night unless you’re planning on waking them up at a different time for some odd reason

MeowDoku · 25/10/2026 19:38

Is this like when I had to change my car clock manually so I was an hour out for 6 months a year? You can't live your actual life like that OP

Wheredidcottoneyedjoecomefromandwheredidhego · 25/10/2026 19:39

PrettyLittleRose · 25/10/2026 19:30

What planet do you live on @Wheredidcottoneyedjoecomefromandwheredidhego where the clocks have never gone back an hour before? 🤔

??? I'm not saying they haven't gone back before? They do every year and every year at this time we have trouble with behaviour

Waiting for the drip feed that the children are 14 & 16

27 years old he is...

notenoughcaffeine · 25/10/2026 19:40

Is this a wind up post? 😂

Wheredidcottoneyedjoecomefromandwheredidhego · 25/10/2026 19:41

Zanatdy · 25/10/2026 19:32

just do half hour - then back to normal tomorrow.

Yes I was thinking this. Thank you Zanatdy I will do that.

But is he coming in at 1am or 2am now?

InjuredDuck · 25/10/2026 19:41

You're really over thinking it. Just put them to bed at 8:30 or a bit earlier if they're that tired. Tomorrow it'll be like nothing happened.

Wheredidcottoneyedjoecomefromandwheredidhego · 25/10/2026 18:54

And the kids

The kids are fine but I know I'm going to have problems with the cat for at least a week.

GoodkneeBadKnee · 25/10/2026 19:42

The "real time" is what it says on the clock. Now. Go by that.

Wheredidcottoneyedjoecomefromandwheredidhego · 25/10/2026 19:42

G1ngerbread · 25/10/2026 19:35

It doesn’t matter. They’re still going to have the same amount of sleep. You’re being odd.

But they will lose an hour

OP posts:
teaandtoastwithmarmite · 25/10/2026 19:43

They’re not losing an hour of sleep. The clocks change at 2am. They would have been asleep and suddenly it was 1am. DD 13 and her mate had a sleepover and went to bed at 3 which would’ve been 2 before.

Must be, it's so utterly ridiculous.

Either that or a very serious overthinker.

Never read such bollocks.

They won’t and haven’t but there’s no point trying to explain repeatedly.

Meand2Ls · 25/10/2026 19:44

Wheredidcottoneyedjoecomefromandwheredidhego · 25/10/2026 19:29

No but it will be one less every night as it's all changed

Was 50/50 on whether this was a troll thread until this comment cause I just refuse to live in a world where anyone is this stupid 😂😂😂😂

Exactly what I was thinking 😂😂 Who honestly puts this much thought into a clock change? Have they never experienced one before? Lol.

I know this, but should I wait until 8.30, when that will really be 9.30 and a later bedtime than normal

Even if this were correct, which it isn't, what do you think will happen?

Do your children never wake in the night, wake up early or take slightly longer to go to sleep?
Its one bastard hour, they won't be jet lagged

itwasntme2019 · 25/10/2026 19:46

Chill, it’s half term they’ll be fine.

The loss of one hour per night will f up behaviour
