I really really can't understand why that cesspit is still running. It's broken MN talk guidelines left right and centre since its inception.

I only joined MN because a mate of mine had her account deleted. Not suspended or anything, deleted and banned because she called out antisemitism over and over again.
She was faced with the most disgusting racist tropes, accusations, lies and vilification. Her lived experience laughed at and undermined. And she stood her ground over and over and called it out one after the other. Each time with grace and not anger.
She was told that MN were “on the case” and having long discussions with the racist posters about her, and what to do with her. She showed me screen shots and seriously now, it was frankly shocking that she had her account deleted by MN when they should have gone out of their way to protect her.

Yes, exactly. This happened a lot. MN eradicated a lot of really good, kind, intelligent, careful, well-intentioned people. I hope some eventually resumed under a new ID, but it has been terrifying to see how things unfolded (and continue to play out) on CITME. It's hard not to see all that as part of a well-orchestrated social media campaign to silence voices that did not join the Hamas trumpet fanfare.
