There you are again assuming that the white Cornell men are innocent. What happened to your assertion of reserving judgement until there has been a trial? Doesn’t quite work the other way round, does it? Funny that…

He’s been very quiet when I asked him his opinion on Lindsay Clancy… funny that.
hes better off on a red pill forum. I don’t understand why these men’s rights idiots come on a board for women defending rapists.

I find RB repulsive and always have. But you can bet that his defence is that being repulsive and a sex addict doesn't mean you're guilty. He's relying on his misogynistic persona as his defence. All he has to do is create some doubt in the jurors minds and he'll get off. It worries me that there are 8 men and 4 women on the jury. The fact that Laura is sticking by him also goes massively in his favour whether she privately believes him or not.

What was bare grills up to? I am not sure this reflects well on the Scouts?

Lets hope the jury see through that Mary Archer move

Brokentoes85 · Yesterday 23:31

Shame on his wife for standing by him.

PrincessScarlett · Yesterday 23:32

I wouldn't be surprised if RB and his wife split up once the court case is out the way.

A lawyer in london once tried to get off on a charge of taking up-skirt pictures in supermarkets (importantly: this was before they made a specific law against it). His 'brilliant' defence was "it's not a crime to be a pervert". Didn't work, he got banged-up and lost his career.

I guess now we'll have to make a specific law against all the various predatory and abusive shit Brand did to women. JFC, how many laws do we need?

wavingfuriously · Yesterday 23:46

RB always thought he was a loud mouthed unpleasant fraud, wasn't even his book ghost- written ?! hope he gets prison time, what a creep.

Do we think this is how he’s explained it to his wife?

I had lots sex as an addict and people got the wrong idea but I’m cleansed now..

Quite possibly and she’s not given one seconds thought to how addicts behave to get what they want. I’ve very little sympathy, and even less respect, for her.

I’ve never liked Brand, and even when I was a teen at the height of his fame, I thought “sex addict” was being used to cover something else.

hourglass2 · Today 00:03

He reminds me of Charles Manson with those manic eyes.....shudder

He is a lesson in this:

He looks repugnant. He's always been creepy. And he is.

Actually to have sex with a woman then physically dominate her, 'flip her over', put her on all fours and penetrate her anally, while she screams and begs for him to stop, and then afterwards he says 'clean up the mess you've made' - of 'blood, semen and faeces' - how can we even find words to describe such a devil.

No punishment is too bad for him.

Edited

It is a pity that we can't put him in a dark room with Jon venables, the bulger killer, then open the gate and allow in a half starved giant anaconda. Turn all lights out, then see which one "god" spares...

I do feel that zoos and the prison service are missing a trick. Would save the first releasing people early and bad publicity and would save the second on high prices for meat for their carnivores. It's a "win win"

.... Might give the anaconda wind or bad breath tho...

Maybe we need to ask the snake gods first

"belmarsh" sponsored by London zoo...

Got a ring to it...

Brand was a drug addict, a sex addict and now in something of a surprise improvement he’s a born again Christian. That I believe, they often follow.

He’s a handsy sleaze who tried it on with everyone but who knows if he’s a full-on rapist.

The trouble is, he certainly doesn’t think he is a rapist, which is the tricky bit.

Charlize43 · Today 00:16

I really hope the women get justice.

Totally lost faith in the justice system after Huw Edwards walked free. Didn't Brand also work for the BBC?

Rationally, I know that a major plank of English Common Law is the right to trial and innocent until proven guilty but I'm slightly questioning why there has to be a trial for this: of course he did it; they wouldn't have accused him for no reason. Maybe the trial is just to determine how bad RB really has been and thus to decide the length/severity of his sentence?

He’d have to plead guilty for there to be no trial and go straight to sentencing.

I think he’s arrogant enough to believe he’s not guilty.

OonaStubbs · Today 00:33

I hope he gets locked up for decades but I have little faith in the British justice system. Even if he is found guilty he will probably get a derisory sentence in an open prison that is like a holiday camp.

It's not that rare

Yes it is. Its just always reported and acted upon. Where as rape and rape trials aren't.

SpanishFly · Today 00:41

Re his wife, I know someone who was in a similar situation irl.
She left him even tho he was found not guilty, due to things she heard in court, but also because she later admitted that believing the accusers over her husband (before the trial) would have almost been embarrassing for her, ie it would have felt like she was publicly admitting what terrible judgment she must have had in marrying him

I do find it a bit galling that everyone fawned over Mr Brand while he was insufferably woke.
He then became pretty much the opposite which is something I respect as he swam against the fashionable tide, but of course he lost favour with the middle classes.
I don't make comment about what he's on trial for only that I strongly dislike the string 'em up mentality that we have when a man isn't even convicted- and the lack of interest when it's an awkward demographic that has been proven to commit sex crimes (can't help but notice the hypocrisy).
I don't like the religious stuff, that makes me uncomfortable but obviously no reason to absolutely hate someone- just I can't take someone so mired in religion seriously.
What I will say is that Russell Brand has kids- just remember that when you're throwing out all this vitriol over an as yet un-convicted man.
Horrible mob mentality. It's all hearsay that you're happily spouting at the moment- poster upthread saying "of course he did it"- oh well no point going to court really.
Whether guilty or not you've all fucked up his and his family's life. Nice.

Is that you Russell?
