There was a TV show once which tested the north v south with some social experiments like how many people would help a crying child (when dressed smartly Vs scruffy), someone dropping their shopping etc. RB was the only person who stopped to help pick the shopping up in London. Always remember that made him seem like a decent soul.

Rationally, I know that a major plank of English Common Law is the right to trial and innocent until proven guilty but I'm slightly questioning why there has to be a trial for this: of course he did it; they wouldn't have accused him for no reason. Maybe the trial is just to determine how bad RB really has been and thus to decide the length/severity of his sentence?

Thankfully, just being accused is not enough, in the UK at least.
