Conversation about drunk shopping and I mentioned that I once ordered racing sprouts and a sudoku rubiks cube just before Xmas about 18 years ago!

DD is adamant that no one does stuff like that. I need you to help me prove her wrong!

I got drunk in Paris 25 years ago and bought a dress, a t shirt and some make up from a shop I wondered into. All adding up to almost £400. Still have the dress, its quite nice ))

Oh and a see through front loading bra that made my tits look like pigs’ faces.

@Notbuiltforheat that's the best phrase I've read for ages! I can picture it very clearly. 😂

I once went out day drinking in Hull and woke up in Rotterdam. I assume a ferry ticket had, in fact, been purchased at some point......

There's a Beautiful South song in there somewhere, surely... 🤔

My now DH during the Beast from the East. We were snowed in for days and much wine was consumed. One day, a huge Amazon purchase turned up. Neither of us knew what it was, and when we opened it, it was a snowboard. He had recollection of ordering it, but to be fair, we did take it to the local park for a couple of days! It could be worse - a mate of mine drunk bid on a Porsche in Essex, over 200 miles away, and had to catch the train the next day while hungover to collect it.

Did anyone else think during lockdown when this is over I'm coming out with a brand new life? Because I did when pissed one night, I in my pissed wisdom decided that I was going to jack my job in and open a candle shop. So online I went tapping away for hours...

I bought..

A name trademark
Thousands of candle holder jar things
Boxes and boxes of wax
Plus loads of other candle making shit

It's all still here in my house and I'm still in the same job as before lockdown. Never made a fucking candle in my life.

Maybe you can sell it all to a prepper.

At least you won’t have to live in the dark if Russia hack the power grid. 🕯️

I bought a 10 ft ‘paddling pool’ when I didn’t even have a house let alone a garden to put it in!

I’m in a running club.
Every time we go out I nervously check my phone the next morning to see what races I’ve been persuaded to enter!!

3 cds of soundtrack for a TV programme I really was a massive fan of. Lots of things kids want because they know if I've had a glass of wine I'm going to say yes.

A tin of watercolour crayons - Caran D’ache Neo Color watercolour pastels - the full 84 colour set to be precise. But - I’m not an artist. I’m a hobbyist amateur at best and haven’t picked up a paintbrush in 2 years and never used watercolor pastels before.

They cost me £192. I hope they’re worth it 😳

We took delivery today of two huge massive Canary Island Date palm trees. I thought the delivery driver had the wrong address. But nope, DH's name is on the labels.

Went inside and asked DH as I thought is must be some kind of mistake and the colour literally drained from his face. He had only just remembered that he ordered them last weekend when drunk thinking they would be nice for the garden. He totally forgot that he had ordered them until they turned up.

We now have 2 massive 7 ft date palm trees stuck in the garden that we are going to have to go out and buy massive pots for tomorrow. 🙄God knows where we will put the bloody things 😂

An acquaintance bought an old camper van one night (he owned a bar and had had a lock in).
It was delivered on the back of a trailer as it had no MOT etc. and, as he had nowhere to park it he dumped it outside the local old folks home.
The parish council had complaints for months as no one knew who owned it and eventually it was towed away and never seen again.

I'm still sponsoring a pangolin (to do what, I have no idea), after a decision influenced by alcohol. I don't have the heart to cancel the direct debit.

🤣🤣🤣

A three headed vibrator. Many many years ago. DH thought it was hilarious. I returned it without getting it out the box.

I came home from a nightclub in 2005 to discover that Pope John Paul II was dead. As a good Catholic girl and a very drunk one. I thought it would be perfectly acceptable to book a budget airline flight to Rome to mourn the Pope I’d grown up with! The following morning was very confusing…. Hungover but luckily only £45 out of pocket! Safe to say I didn’t go to the Vatican with the masses!

BlackCat14 · Yesterday 21:27

Maybe not that ridiculous, more a funny memory, but years ago my friend and I were at the pub having a good few too many drinks. I don’t know how it came up in conversation that the next day, the X Factor tour was in our city, and we drunkenly booked tickets. Waking up the next morning with a raging hangover but a realisation that we were going to watch the X Factor show that night was good fun!
