Conversation about drunk shopping and I mentioned that I once ordered racing sprouts and a sudoku rubiks cube just before Xmas about 18 years ago!

DD is adamant that no one does stuff like that. I need you to help me prove her wrong!

A few months ago after a night out I decided I really wanted to see westlife (I'm old enough to know all their songs) so, I bought two re-sell tickets.
Not a bad thing, I was so excited at the time.
What I didn't look at was where the seats are! We're near the top of the O2 and the tickets weren't cheap! I reckon whoever sold them on made quite a bit out of me 😂

Anyway, it's tonight and I'm still excited!

Earlier this year we very nearly bought tickets to see Josh Groban... in Manila. Fortunately we decided to wait until the next day to see if MIL could have the kids for four days and it seemed less of a good idea the following morning.

I once went out day drinking in Hull and woke up in Rotterdam. I assume a ferry ticket had, in fact, been purchased at some point......

Lockdown saw me spend £20 on a single slice of cake (it was a Bertha from get baked) delicious but still..

Drunken competition entries to win tickets to gigs I thought DD would like have been quite successful- I won two tickets to see Ed Sheeran in a tiny gig in London a few years ago and this year I won two tickets to see Harry Styles.

I forgot I bought a pair of tickets in a box to see Jason Manford (random) and spent ages trying to work out which friend to thank for them.

Duds have included a terrible dress from Net-a-porter which was wordle green in colour and made me look like a massive Mrs Jolly Green Giant.

I entered a competition aiming for like second or third prize (can’t even remember what it was) but won first prize and suddenly we had a brand new camper delivered, which we could use for 4 months, including petrol.
It was absolutely huge, huge!! All our neighbours came out from their houses looking very confused when we tried to park it on our driveway.

I absolutely HATE camping. DH was very happy though and remembers that summer as one of our greatest.

I have only ever been drunk once but I have been known to go sleep shopping. A few years ago I dreamt I had bought everyone in the family one of those worms on a string that you wrap round your fingers etc. Only I hadn't been dreaming. The next day Amazon delivered 24 worms. The kids (all adults) christened them "Christmas Dream Worms" and we solemnly put one at each place setting.

My dh has form for this. I once woke up to find him slumped on the sitting room floor with the full anaconda dvd boxset , predator dvd set and Indian meal for 2 from tesco. Hes also bought a ukulele, 6ft skeleton that when we were fixing our inglenook and plastered the walls we stuck it in the chimney breast and about 20yrs ago got himself ordained with a plan to get his mate drunk and marry him out. Turns out he can only do this in America and 12 miles out at sea, in international waters or something like that. Theres loads more but I can't remember 🙈🤣

Did anyone else think during lockdown when this is over I'm coming out with a brand new life? Because I did when pissed one night, I in my pissed wisdom decided that I was going to jack my job in and open a candle shop. So online I went tapping away for hours...

I bought..

A name trademark
Thousands of candle holder jar things
Boxes and boxes of wax
Plus loads of other candle making shit

It's all still here in my house and I'm still in the same job as before lockdown. Never made a fucking candle in my life.

night out with friends to share memories of someone who had died earlier in the year. Prosecco drunk.
when I went to bed I logged on to the charity webpage to send a donation.
saw them advertising an abseil offa hideously tall building- thought I could raise more money than the £20 I was going to send.
i hate heights……I dont do exercise….i am a pensioner.
woke up laughing about my daft dream.

i did it a few months later…..never drinking and scrolling again!

I'm impressed you did it. I would have backed out, after all, they had the money.

Didn't purchase it I suppose , but in my 20s woke up after a daytime drinking session to find that I had got my ears pierced . No memory of it at all . Did wonder why the piercer didn't notice but my friends said I was perfectly lucid at the time.

I had the same thing but with my nips. St Patrick’s day I think in like 2019. I think they look cool but I wish I’d know they make breastfeeding interesting, and by 2020 I’d have a baby. Don’t regret it but I think they should tell you that when you get it done 😭

Many years ago my (very wealthy) aunt got pissed at the Chelsea flower show and bought one of those wooden roundhouse dining table hut things to the tune of £13k. Clean forgot until it turned up on the back of a lorry a few weeks later. TBF she's still got it and it does look cracking in her garden.

How amazing it must be, to be SO wealthy that you can forget/not notice on your statement a spend of £13k…. Lucky lady. Funny though!

I know right? 😂 I have to say I find it funnier now than I did at the time when I was just out of uni and dirt poor.

I thought a Queen Anne drinks cabinet which I didn’t measure and doesn’t suit our house in the slightest. Cost a fortune and absolutely ridiculous!

I'm still sponsoring a pangolin (to do what, I have no idea), after a decision influenced by alcohol. I don't have the heart to cancel the direct debit.

That's very kind of you. (I still don't know how to crochet, unfortunately) 😂
