Conversation about drunk shopping and I mentioned that I once ordered racing sprouts and a sudoku rubiks cube just before Xmas about 18 years ago!

DD is adamant that no one does stuff like that. I need you to help me prove her wrong!

Not the Internet but my fil loved a drink and once he had booze inside him,he'd buy any old tat while in the pub

Apparently,while pissed,he came home with
1000 tins of butter beans
A dog
2 oak trees (still in their tubs)
A broken kite
A random bloke who'd he'd just met
3 car tyres
God knows how many plants/bushes (mil ran out of room to plant them)
A random cross stitch (he thought mil could do it-she has arthritis)
A set of painting by numbers (his dd had a condition that meant she was blind and dp had no interest)
A push bike

Thankfully the Internet wasn't around at this time or god knows what would have shown up!

After a long boozy afternoon in the pub, the local vicar and I bought matching ukuleles. We forgot until they arrived at his house. I think i played mine for about a week, and I don't think he ever did.

I really, really, want to know how that conversation started 🤣

Is it just me who doesnt think this is funny actually its sad?

Id say anyone who is buying stuff and then surprised by the package that arrives has a lonely drink problem. Sorry

Back in my younger days, post-works drinks on Friday started at 5:30pm, and I was usually pretty sozzled by 9:30pm. At the time I used to live in a flat opposite a supermarket, and used to wake up on Saturday to all manner of purchases. The most memorable was five boxes of mince pies and two lots of Persil laundry tablets.

Did you actually get the whisky, or was it an 'investment'?

I hope it was a real barrel of whisky, there are a few scams operating around that.

A couple of weeks ago DH and I, having somewhat overindulged, thought “fuck Christmas” and booked a holiday in the sun.

A towel that says ‘bellend’ all over it 🙃 I completely forgot until it arrived in the post!
Drunk me must’ve found it funny 🤦‍♀️

I arrived home after a lunchtime session at work - a leaving do (it was the 80s) and proudly presented my exH with a hamster, a cage and a bag of hamster food.

He had asked me to pick up some bread on my way home. I forgot the bread.

My husband bought our son a hamster when they looked around the garden centre next door to the doctors when I had an appointment (I was 8 months pregnant)
Guess who then had another thing other than a new baby to take care of?

In my husband's case you are correct

Garden furniture. A designer Dior dress on eBay, luckily I explained it was a mistake to the seller and she kindly didn’t put the sale through. As pp said some weird drink stuff (cocktail making?).

I bought a camper van on eBay 😳

A very old (g-reg) one that was surprisingly sound for what I paid (£1100) and gave us 4 good years of holidays and festivals until I could afford to get a bigger, better one.....

Bargain!! Well done

I accidentally (because drunk) found myself paying a hefty 30% deposit for a nearly £20k family holiday 8and then being committed to it) because I was looking to see what the interest free repayment schedule would look like because I had had more than a few and didn’t realise I had pressed the wrong buttons/too quickly and completed the transaction.

It was a great holiday, so great that we took my youngest back this year for his 18th, but no one had any say at the time and it was about £5k more than we would have budgeted (it was for a special year with our eldest also turning 18). I was still paying the deposit off on paypal 18m later and had to forgo quite a few planned treats for a year. I am now terrified of looking at travel booking sites after a few glasses of wine!!

I think my ipad needs one of those alcohol sensors they are proposing for cars…

A ‘vintage’ Plymouth Argyle football shirt. Men’s size XL.
Don’t support them. Don’t even live in Plymouth or near Plymouth. Didn’t know anybody from Plymouth. Had no connection to Plymouth. Just liked the style and colours.

Few months later I started dating a man (now my husband!) from Devon, who happened to support Argyle. His birthday fell on our 8th date. You can guess what his present was… 😃

It was meant to be!

A friend and I put a drunken bid on New Zealand when someone put it on eBay about 20 years ago, but the auction was pulled when eBay realised it was a prank.

Holiday to Kiev. Pre war obviously. We got very very drunk at a wedding and decided it was a marvellous idea. Went to the airport drunk, did 48 hours there and came back on seperate flights. Was slightly inebriated on the plane back and some random bloke said he would show me the world and Guildford. I declined. It was absolutely brilliant. Best weekend ever.

Not me but a friend of mine manages to buy a sailing boat when drunk

I came in from a heavy night out and decided to do what my little niece had done, which was to spend £10 of her birthday money on Temu, with nothing costing more than one pound.

Except I got very good at it and it said I had to check out right now or I’d lose something, and I’m a valued customer and they meant it sincerely. Then presumably I passed out and forgot about it.

For weeks I kept getting little parcels of tut that I sort of quite liked but was simultaneously shit. Key rings, a multifunctional spork, a handbag Allan key set, a bag of lipsticks that looked like drugs capsules and 300 bin bags are the most memorable. Oh and a see through front loading bra that made my tits look like pigs’ faces.

I think I burned through about £50. Apple’s face recognition should have an override that can tell when you’re drunk. Can’t be that hard.

You’re quite right. What you need is the teeny weeny iron I got off temu so you can iron your knickers.

A cropped T-shirt that said ‘I’m a motherfucking ray of sunshine’ across the chest 🫪. I’m in my late 40s. I really need to stay away from Vinted after a few drinks…

A few months ago after a night out I decided I really wanted to see westlife (I'm old enough to know all their songs) so, I bought two re-sell tickets.
Not a bad thing, I was so excited at the time.
What I didn't look at was where the seats are! We're near the top of the O2 and the tickets weren't cheap! I reckon whoever sold them on made quite a bit out of me 😂

Anyway, it's tonight and I'm still excited!
