And mental health issues as it says clearly in the article - she wasn't fit to stand trial so presumably hospitalised. I would wager it wasn't her gun anyway...

They do and often get 15 years for it because it is manslaughter rather than murder, also they get less time than a stranger would murdering their wife as long as it is in the home. Nice.

FFS man, look at the prison population and the ONS stats eg over 95% of sexual assaults are committed by males but no, you want to focus on the “what about these women”….

I stated in my post that the vast majority of violence is committed by men. That’s beyond question although it’s a tiny minority of men.

Im merely pointing out that there’s an even smaller minority of women who also commit horrendous crimes.

You are assuming that this woman was fit for trial, which she was not, as it states in the article you yourself provided.

It is not 'a tiny minority of men'.

How can they be called protectors when we need protecting from them. I'd always run to a women to protect me.

I am assuming here you have no legal or medical background whatsoever or you'd not be posting as if this is some weird "gotcha" when anyone with a brain can see the difference between all of these few select cases and the mass rapes and the frequent murder of women by their violent partners an exes. We have an escalating femicide rate in this country, not the other way around.

The details are curious and would be open to hearing more if you have those.

Do you want to guess how many men escape justice because they commit suicide as well or would that figure be too much?
Or maybe how many men walk around freely because of delays and backlogs in the legal system thanks to all of the other crimes men commit?
Or how about how many men are also in secure psychiatric facilities for murder, because I assume you know that it isn't just women who have mental health issues and can't be tried?

Of course I’m aware of that which is why I stated the law is a joke.

I was asking about the case I referenced if you had more details? What is the mitigation? What is the mental health condition she already had prior to developing PTSD?

I suggest you start your own thread. Maybe entitle it "I am a man and want to know why this woman has been put into a psychiatric hospital because I can't accept that she has mental health issues and want her to be like all of the heartless murdering men" and see what you get.

Its a bit odd to use the words "in cold blood" in this case I think.

Today I have been in a conference from 9am to 4pm, relating to domestic abuse, donestic homicide, stalking, violent and sexual crimes.

Statistically, we all know wwomen are more likely to suffer DA at the hands of a man. Men also suffer DA, but lets not forget that al arge proportion of those who do, also suffer at the hands of men.

We need to educate ourselves and our daughters on how to choose ‘good’ men.
