FGS - women are more often attacked for the first time when pregnant.
Are we meant to learn how to use a crystal ball as well?

Your situation is your situation and that doesn’t change that others have had different experiences. For other women it doesn’t start with violence. The violence started once he had broken her down mentally/emotionally. Pregnancy is a known point of escalation.
It’s an all too common story for women to be raised in homes with domestic violence to repeat the pattern because they don’t know any other way and don’t believe they deserve better.

"Pregnancy is a known point of escalation."
Which was my point to the previous poster saying that women should pick better men to marry and have kids with.

No, it wouldn’t.

I won’t be too specific but I know about this through work. Sadly lone female officers are nearly always inadequate in the face of male violence and very often the victims of serious assault, unable to physically stand their ground. Lone male officers are nowhere near as vulnerable.

Agree, in my experience, it wouldn't.
