I don't think you can separate the art from the man. And I am sorry but you have weakened your own argument stating that Gary Glitter had great songs. He was an utter joke, in my opinion.

Jeffrey Archer will be mourned by his immediate family and close friends and I have sympathy for them.

This. I consider men who use prostitution to be rapists. But I hope his family are OK.

It’s not like he was 20 and a good person.

Probably because he has just been in the media in the last week sounding well and looking forward to writing more.
