The Green Party are an unelectable bunch of extreme soundbites and not environmental at all

The Green Party are more and more extremist. The latest is that supporting the right to Jewish self determination (Zionism) is now racist.

The Green Party are a million miles from the Green Party I voted for years ago. Now full of men that think they are women, accusing people that believe in self determination for their own people as racist. They appear unable to see the division and racism of their own party. Many antisemitic tweets from their members over the last few years.

The Green Party are long gone to a bunch of extreme individuals with not a chance of being elected party.

A woman takes a photo of sign advertising the Green Party conference.

Green Party members back 'Zionism is racism' conference motion

The vote has caused divisions among figures at the top of the party at its conference in Brighton.

If it won't allow Jews to go to synagogue without being reported for racism, is it actually even still legal as a political party?

This is why we need a legal challenge.

Absolutely not. Imagine Reform trying to ban Muslims from attending mosques! Just imagine the protests and chants of racism.

There is context here. The UN General Assembly passed a resolution in 1975 declaring that Zionism is a form of racism. This was lobbied and overturned 2 decades later partly due to pressure from Bush.

In terms of Israel - I can’t see a path to a two state solution anymore. So the creation of a single democratic state in the region seems like the most sensible end goal.

There is context here. The UN at the time was under the leadership of Kurt Waldheim, an actual, LITERAL Nazi (who had hidden his past as he climbed the UN ladder, but was subsequently exposed).

So the Greens today are in alignment with a known Nazi. And also with the National Front of the 1980’s, who used the exact same slogan that “Zionism is racism”.

Who would have thought that the once environmentally focused Green Party would morph in the 2020’s into a vehicle for the most overt antisemitism and racism since the National Front.

Aja ♀️🇬🇧 (@AjaTheEmpress) on X

Anyone else find it weird that “Zionism is racism” was a National Front talking point in the 80s and is now official Green Party policy?

So the real context is: The UN under the leadership of a Nazi passed a resolution against the only Jewish state, proposed by the Soviet Union and officially sponsored by the Arab League alongside several Muslim-majority nations.
But who could possibly question their impartiality 🙄

Bloody hell! Initially that did surprise me about the UN passing that resolution but that now becomes clear. Also the more I read about Lubna Speitan the more sinister she becomes. She is not only a friend of a convicted terrorist, she was a character witness for him in court. She still maintains he is the victim of an establishment stitch up despite him admitting terrorism offences including being involved in a bomb plot at Heathrow Airport. She has called for the devproscription of Hamas. Unsurprisingly she is a traveller from Jeremy Corbyns Your Party. A party so shambolic that it fell apart in weeks but was still not prepared to entertain views that even they felt were extreme. Yet she has been welcomed into the Green Party with open arms.

It’s an extremist Islamic party in a leftist Trojan horse. It’s not possible to be both an Islamist and left wing, the two are diametrically opposite.

As others have said, politics isn't a straight line. It's has been described as a horseshoe where the further Left and right you go, the closer you get. But there is also the Political compass test, where the authoritarian Left and the Authoritarian Right are extremely close in ideology, particularly economically. They are not diametrically opposed. Especially as the Left seems to have got bored of gay rights in favour of trans rights, which is booming in places like Iran, as a way of 'transing away' their gay children.

This.

I'm normally tactful around people that vote Green even though I've had doubts about them for a long time. Not going to be tactful anymore. Just going to directly raise the issue of antisemitism and how the Greens now have a policy that Israel shouldn't exist anymore.

Whereas other nations with shocking human rights abuses get a free pass.

I believe Lubna Speitan moved to the Greens from Your Party due to her finding the latter insufficiently antisemitic. Which says it all about what the Green Party has become, sadly.

EmpressOfTheThread · 07/10/2026 12:56

It must have upset Kurt Waldheim; not only were he and his fellow Nazis unsuccessful in wiping out the Jewish population, he had to see them develop and thrive in their own nation!
No wonder he couldn't stand it.

Wadsworthy · 07/10/2026 13:16

They're Jew-hating misogynists, who've given up on science, and are not doing anything for the environment.

They don't know what a woman is - for a party which started with "believe the science" re. climate change, they're in thrall to gender woo.

I have voted Green in the past, particularly in my local council elections. Never ever again.

MalcolmTent · 07/10/2026 13:23

This sounds a bit fascist as well:

They are described as ‘old guard Greens’, a lot of whom are ‘transphobes or Zionists"

I wonder how long it will take him to find out that it's the 'old guard' Green women who have betrayed women on the Trans Right altar, so get rid of them and they are left with ultra conservative Islamists and them.

Unsurprisingly she is a traveller from Jeremy Corbyns Your Party. A party so shambolic that it fell apart in weeks but was still not prepared to entertain views that even they felt were extreme. Yet she has been welcomed into the Green Party with open arms.

In the clip of her speaking that someone posted upthread, she talks about being invited into the Green Party for the explicit purpose of developing this motion. She doesn’t say who invited her, but she does come across as somewhat full of herself for having been invited. In a ‘look at me, I’m vitally important to the Palestinian cause’ kind of way.
