What would the Left call the Right, if the small boat people were white?

I'll start by saying, I am very anti open boarders, and I am horrified that so many illegal immigrants are arriving every day. But for me, it has absolutely nothing to do with skin colour, it is more to do with :

ONE) They have no documentation, and we have no idea if they have criminal backgrounds

TWO) They tend to come from cultures where women are not respected

THREE) They often come from places where rape is not a crime

FOUR) They cannot work, and it is costing Millions to house, feed and clothe them

FIVE) We are granting asylum to some people who should never get it - like the Hamas bodyguard we heard of yesterday

Lots of valid reasons I feel, however, for me, it has nothing to do with skin colour. If I had to be locked in a room overnight with a white man from a backward culture, or a black man from the UK, I would choose the latter, every single time.

It isn't colour, it's culture

But I see that people on the Far Left just scream "Racist" to anyone who opposes illegal immigration. What would they scream, if all the small boats were full of white men? And would people still march for England?

They live in a place that is virtually inaccessible, save for impoverished people who are prepared to venture there to cultivate drugs or chop trees down. Encounters with these people very often end in death, even if you give them many peace offerings. So lets say your job is to go into the rainforest and cut trees down. You encounter an uncontacted tribe, you give them everything you have and you show them by all means possible that you mean them no harm. They take everything you offer and then kill every member of your group that they're able to hit with their sharpened bamboo spears. And they're naked and mimicking animal sounds as they do all of this. If you say you'd still consider them civilised, I'd suggest that you're talking absolute horseshit to try to win an argument on Mumsnet.

Where as here we do the nice civilised thing of dropping atomic bombs on people who disagree with us, we steal resources from other countries and we chant ‘let them drown’ about people who want a better life and get behind billionaires who wouldn’t piss lm us if we were on fire. Much More civilised.

And i’ve already said, we don’t treat women well in this country, most women report being sexually assaulted or harrassed, rape cases are woefully under prosecuted, women in the u.k. still carry the burden of household management and childcare, single parents are still hugely female because men don’t stick around…Hardly a nation that is treating women well.
We treat LGBTQ people appalling too, the suicide rate is massive, you only have to read how trans people are spoken about on mumsnet.
Hardly civilised is it?

You have said all this, but still no take on where is better. You could be somewhere where posting online is punishable with extreme outcomes. Take a look at other countries and what women and girls are up against.

The more you try to both-sides it, the more people will vote Reform out of exasperation at your failure to admit there is a disparity. Perhaps that’s what you want.

Do you not think a woman maybe a lesbian or bi woman would thank her lucky stars that she's born in the UK or in Europe Vs Kabul or Tehran?

Do you not understand whilst there are incidents and issues here things in other parts of the world are extremely worse?

What is wrong with you?

An atomic bomb hasn't been dropped since Japan. When do we steal resources? People might want to come for a better life but they don't have an automatic fight to come here

"We" aren't all one big group. The people who are most bigoted towards LBGT aren't British citizens born and bred. Our culture doesn't call for death to those people.

Unfortunately, we also get people chanting "from the river to the sea". Not very civilised is it, wishing death on a race of people? That's the culture people are objecting to.

Probably the same ones believing the Fairford incident was legit and above board. No terrorist dummy runs to see here.

We've never used nuclear weapons. If you have to go looking in other countries for things that happened long before most of us were born to prove our lack of civility I think you're making my point for me really. Thanks I suppose.

So you're looking for utopia then? A society where crime doesn't exist, there is no mental ill health, marriages last forever, children are all brought up in two parent families, people live in complete peace and harmony. You're right, the UK isn't utopia. Where are these mythical countries?

Nowhere but that’s the dream Reform and Restore are peddling to the deluded.

Why shoehorn politics into the discussion? Whoever you vote for is up to you. But thanks for the reminder that the UK has democracy - that may be useful for the pp who insists the UK is no better than Afghanistan. When did their citizens last have the chance to vote? All these liberties and freedoms we casually take for granted, but apparently we're not " civilised ".

No, Reform and Restore are just pledging to stop importing further problems. Whereas your lot are trying to ignore the evidence of our own eyes and ears. Which seems to have worked for a while, but is creating a generation of voters who won't get fooled again.

You can't reason with someone who characterises Hiroshima and Nagasaki as "dropping atomic bombs on people who disagree with us" as if we were all just having a robust chat at debating club.

It’s madness. I agree with you. The left should realise what the reality is for Afghanistan or Iran. The constant shoehorning other stuff is irrelevant.

I’m not trying to do anything, I’m simply pointing out that we are far from perfect in this country and we are really not in a position to judge everyone else. People don’t vote for fascists because of anything I say, they vote for them because they agree with them. that’s not my fault.

I am LGBTQ, I don’t thank my lucky stars i’m here, I know all to well what we are treated like here. It may be marginally better than other countries, that doesn’t mean we should ignore the reality that we are far from perfect or safe for women.
