To be disappointed Dolly Parton supported biological men using women's toilets?

I really liked her music and she seemed like a nice person: her Imagination Library came to my borough recently. I was very sad to hear she'd died.
But was very disappointed to read this. The statements she made about trans people deserving respect, no issue with those.
But minimising the reasonable concerns women have about being forced to let men in their toilets was wrong.
I'm not saying she should have spoken out for GC issues. It might have been best just not to comment.
Parton had connections with drag queens and I wonder if that's the lens she saw transwomen through : not an excuse but might partially explain.

Many on FWR and other GC online spaces which is no surprise to any user like yourself who frequents there or anyone who lurks. There are multiple male posters who dominate that board and are self declared not feminists. There are plenty who are clear they're antichoicers and right wingers and then there's women who are coming at it from a women's rights perspective. But don't be coy and think it's not clear to everyone that it's solely about the trans issue when it comes to sex based rights and it's not about the other rights and protections that feminism fights for, it's only about trans. There's nothing wrong or problematic if you're a feminist who feels strongly about SSS or women's rights, good for you - but when you to discuss the "wrong women" with men online and you don't wanna call out sexism like calling women handmaidens etc then I find it rich for those particular GC women to call others male centred for being feminists who dont laugh along to trabsphobia.

Generally speaking, it's wise to NEVER support a man arguing about women's rights with a woman, regardless of who you agree with. It's like Feminism 101.

I learned this online when it came to speaking about abortion. There was a guy in a group I frequented on Facebook who 100% shared pro-choice views and was very well versed in statistics and research around abortion. That would have been great if he didn't abuse and insult women with different views, including PMing them personal attacks and trying to contact their place of work and have them sacked.

Later we found out his wife was finally leaving him after years of him essentially being a tight, domineering bastard to her and her kids including screaming in the face of his teenage daughter for befriending a Muslim.

If "TIMs" are that bad and dangerous because they are men, GC men are just as bad and dangerous and untrustworthy because they are men. You should be equally suspicious of their motivations.

I've had several posts deleted by one user for his personal attacks against me and others and I'm pretty sure he was suspended for it at one point, too.

Oh well I've seen many many many more than 1 that are male and notably also declared themselves not feminist. Are you some sort of authority on FWR that you feel the need to take such offense at the suggestion there are male unfeminist posters? And not just FER, many other online spaces. Linehans misogyny on twitter? I suppose the female posters who are adamantly anti choice passed you by too. Somehow in your quest to protect women's rights some women on there never see or challenge those threats to women's rights, and the ones who do get accused of having a purity spiral.🤷🏻‍♀️
