Any one else worried about the rise of the far right in Europe. Churchill once said ‘those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it’. Obviously social conditions are different from the 1930s, but there are similarities such as using immigrants as scapegoats (not Jews this time). Things can so easily escalate and I admit to being worried

I agree but I fear that would be the Farage effect rather than others. I see the likes of Kemi, Jenerick etc being fine but Farage has a major ego but not in an endearing way like one could argue BoJo had.

Uk residents can't afford to work as carers- the annual pay for a full time carer is apparently up to £24k on full time hours. In many places in UK that wont cover your rent let alone allow you to live a decent quality of life- unless its topped up by UC or you're willing to live in an HMO with 10 other people. The private companies behind the care homes are generating large net profits tho. You really need to start thinking about who really benefits from massive influxes of labour. Rather than blaming people for not accepting long and unsociable working hours for not much benefit.

I can't really be arsed scrolling back to see if there's a specific protest which isn't Dover or Portsmouth that you're talking about so I'll assume you mean Dover or Portsmouth. I've just watched a video of a woman kayaking out to hand supplies to the protestors who were in the sea. I can't find any footage of her being attacked.
