AIBU to think migrant sex crime data should be published? And to wonder why Labour are blocking the release of that data?

Labour Blocks Release of Migrant Crime Data

'Victims of serious crimes and their families have joined forces to demand that the Labour government publish detailed data on offences committed by foreign nationals, accusing ministers of withholding information that is “clearly and legitimately in the public interest”.

Among the signatories are victims of high-profile sexual offences and families of murder victims. One signatory is a 14-year-old victim of a sexual assault in Epping allegedly committed by an illegal immigrant, in the same Essex town where asylum seekers were housed at the controversial Bell Hotel.
Fiona Goddard, a survivor of rape-gang grooming who has campaigned publicly about her experiences, has also signed the letter.

Eight relatives of Rhiannon Whyte, a hotel worker murdered by a Sudanese national, are also among those backing the demand.'

This.

Also who let the biggest number of men in from countries in which women are second class citizens? A clue: not this government

A clear consequence of Brexit and measures championed by Farage.

This problem was directly caused by the Tories and Farage and the Labour government are picking up the pieces.

Farage and his ilk want more racial division and hatred because he doesn't have a hope in hell of remaining prominent without it. Fundamentally they are racists. Do not feed the racist trolls. And before Mumsnet ban me, I mean the real life people like Farage and Tice who troll for a living. A very good living as well. They want us all to be uneducated peasants fighting amongst ourselves while society becomes even less equal and their plutocrat mates get even richer.

Do not feed them or the Russian agents who want to turn every issue into hyperbole and destabilise the nation.

No. Not 'this'. As has been stated many times. The data exists. It is collected. It is not provided to those whom have asked for it. Why?

"These provocateurs with agenda"

What is the agenda? We normally get the explanation of "lining their pockets". Is that the agenda?

It’s clear from the links to far right influencers in X and their substacks in the thread that many posters are drawing their (mis)information from known provocateurs who plainly have the agenda of stirring up racial discrimination and xenophobia under the faux concern of women’s safety.

What purpose is served by correlating immigration or any other status with criminal behaviour? What do you propose to do with this information?

'Innocent until proven guilty' is a core principle of civilised society and taking punitive action only against proven criminals is essential to civic freedom.

Unless you aspire to live under fascist rule there is no good reason for lumping criminals of any kind by country of birth or any other characteristic. Hitler and others tried it, it never turns out well.

It's not turning out well letting tens of thousands of uninvited, anonymous men roam free around the country.

Didn't turn out well for the woman raped on Brighten beach, didn't turn out well for the 14 year old raped on a train, didn't turn out well for Rhiannon Whyte.

I'd rather it didn't turn out well for these men and they are detained and deported rather than didn't turn out well for our own people.

Hopefully the government will employ some statistical professionals to present it after proper analysis so that those unfamiliar with how to handle statistics aren’t drawing the wrong conclusions again. The contention of afghans 14x more likely than Germans has been proven false. Once you release raw data into the wild with people who don’t know anything beyond addition, subtraction, multiplication and division you are going to get completely incorrect conclusions that are sensationalised and repeated so often that others think it is a fact when it’s not. It’s bad statistics. It’s the equivalent of convincing someone who can’t add that 1+0 =10

I think it’s just as asked. If anyone wants to do an FOI request they can, it’s great for the public in a democracy.

DeftGoldHedgehog · 29/08/2026 11:40

What we do know is that 98% of sex crimes are committed by men, and 90% of violent crimes are committed by men, of whatever race, colour or nationality.

Perhaps we should seriously restrict the movements of all men by default unless they can prove they can behave themselves.

Actually as well as that horrific gang rape, 3 MORE women were raped on Brighton beach in the last 2 weeks, apparently. Not by white British men. One was at 6:30 am, going for a run.

Think about Rhiannon Whyte’s family for a bit. And the victims who are absolutely ok to use the FOI system as they are.

Or the 13 year old Italian girl in the post below.

That has nothing to do with the trauma that multiple children would suffer if subjected to the sight of mob murder/attempted murder right by their school or nursery or having to walk past angry groups that are making it clear that they want them and people like them (being little children of different ethnicities) removed not just from the area but off the face of the earth.

Yes, that is a reasonable conclusion to make. Particularly when we see the data from other European countries.

It hasn’t happened, whereas Rhiannon Whyte was actually murdered with a screwdriver and the 13 year old girl pled for her life.

Again, it's ok to simply say that you don't understand how statistics work. There are some great YouTube videos explaining what confounding variables are and why they are important to adjust for.

If you're saying the problem is young men are the most likely to rape and it's young men that are coming all the more reason to detain snd deport them. Let's use our asylum obligations for some women and children or at least families and say no to these men of the demographic most likely to carry out rapes.

Myoldmansascouser · 29/08/2026 11:44

NeverDropYourMooncup · 29/08/2026 11:32

You don't think that 650 primary aged children including many of other ethnicities than White British wouldn't be traumatised by a mob setting fire to a house purely on the basis of there being people of another ethnicity living there?

What are you talking about?

There was a house torched in Middlesborough recently where a little girl and her auntie were killed. The other girl in the house escaped by jumping out of an upstairs window - goodness know what injuries she had.
This was suspected white gang warfare and nothing to do with any "ethnicities".
Your posts are about as funny as a broken leg.

The more people will actually think what they are voting for

You're seriously bringing Jews into support your narrative @NullaEffugium . Unreal.

No, I’m bringing in Israelis, Afghans, Ukranians, Somalians, and Eritreans who are of all religions and all fleeing war zones where young men (and in some cases young women) are being conscripted into fighting.

I don’t know how we can have accurate data on sexual abuse. So much goes on in families, by trusted adults, in relationships. We can compare data on the nationalities of who has been caught, but understanding prevalence is far more complicated. I’d like to see the data they hold too though.

We can have data on stranger rapes/gang rapes reported. In Sweden data showed gang rapes were far and away carried out by immigrants.

LuckyHazelFox · 29/08/2026 11:29

She doesn't even know what she's talking about and yes, it is antisemitic.

No it’s not antisemitic for goodness sake. Israel is a war zone. It’s to show the gaping hole in the opinion that all men from countries that are war zones are therefore all going to be violent and dangerous to women. We know that is not true because we have many men emigrating here from war zones that are not any more violent.

It’s probably not hard to run the data, the ICO rejected the excuses for not releasing so it wasn’t that stopping them.

So if they’ve run it, they’ve probably realised it won’t look good to the public.
