The weather has changed for my holiday

Due to holiday in the south of France next week, and all along the long range forecast has been beautiful.

Now it’s changed. Rain every fucking day apart from the day I leave. I have to unpack all the beautiful dresses and clothes I’ve packed and change them out for rain jackets and boots. I’m fuming, I actually can’t believe it. It’s just my luck!

AIBU to just not want to go? I was due to do so many lovely day trips and now they’ll just be awful - damp and grey, any pictures I take will look awful. I just can’t believe it

If you're only going for social media reasons then what's the point?! Perhaps you haven't quite grasped the concept of holidays...

If you can’t think of and aren’t prepared to look for any positives from going on holiday to the south of France whatever the weather, then don’t go.

It’s not the rain that is ruining your holiday. It’s the social media that’s ruining your life. Are you travelling alone? If not, your attitude is in danger of ruining someone else’s holiday too.

You'd care if a wildfire started close to where you were staying! It would be your issue then! Look at the tourists that died in Spain! You are like some stroppy tik tok obsessed teenager! You claim to do travel videos for tik tok but if you were any sort of traveller you would realise that weather forecasts don't mean shit! Take it from me who is a genuinely fairly frequent traveller that you are wasting your time throwing a tantrum over a weather forecast! Weather forecasts change by the hour! And as a traveller I much prefer genuine travel vlogs on YouTube, not some pouty, posing idiot's tik toks! I live in Italy and looked at the weather apps I know are normally predicable and it's giving me glorious weather every day of the week except Thursday (with a bit of rain during the night which will also clean the air). I know weather apps vary but it's highly unlikely you're going to have a week of wall to wall rain. This year up until this week, when we have had some rain, it has been so hot that noone even went to the seaside. It has been unbearable. You are coming at just the right time for sightseeing and should consider yourself extremely lucky and stop catastrophising.

I appreciate that the weather can have impacts on plans but, really, you're going away (which is more than many people have been able to do in recent years) to a completely different environment, with things to do.
