Not a huge fan of Labour I must say, but this is well overdue!

There's a "white man bad too" kinds of response

I know, this is baffling to me.

What exactly are you trying to say?

Because there are rapists in this country (same as in every country) we should import more men from countries and backgrounds which don’t value women?

LuckyHazelFox · Today 15:39

Clearly! It’s all you seem to talk about (that and ‘lefties’)

Do an advanced search and see my contributions over an array of topics. Do you spread yourself thinly on here?

White man bad, white man knuckle dragging flag shagger. These seriously are the words coming from supposedly intelligent women.

Ha!

So many intelligent, professional people feeling like they’ve had enough now. And certainly still with their own teeth 🤣

It’s a lazy and stupid rhetoric the left resort to when they’ve lost the argument.

There are bad white men. But every girl would rather be born and live in the west than experience life in Kabul

PinkBottle75 · Today 15:41

How much money goes into this??? This is just one example of the organisations that are using taxpayers money... approx £4b last year. And no one except the fucking government wants these extra people here.

Edit, it won't let me post this so I'll link to is on Twitter:

Nobody’s arguing that immigration isn’t a serious issue. But the amount of airtime it gets is both disproportionate and counterproductive. A large section of the public has been gaslit and radicalised into thinking that every problem we’re facing is caused by immigration. If people don’t start realising this then we really are doomed.

Firstly you are contributing to this counterproductive conversation by participating in this thread and giving it airtime. You appear to be trying to educate others, which might indicate that you unconsciously feel superior. Have you ever considered that it is you who has been gaslit or brainwashed ?
finally, not a single person in here claims that „every” problem is caused by immigration so don’t exaggerate to strengthen your argument .

suburburban · Today 15:44

I so agree. While I applaud the hard work of all the Eastern European builders who came and have been a happy recipient of it myself, it was the start of the crazy housing market and things went nuts. If there hadn't been these cheap builders maybe property wouldn't have risen so quickly and we'd never have had Kirsty and Phil! Oh the glory days of the 1990s...

Yes it was much better

I think we wouldn’t have had the population decreases as much if we had been left alone to get on with it and there would have been social housing for the younger generation and house prices wouldn’t have gone up as much.

making everyone go to university and having huge student debt wasn’t a great policy either.

IwouldlikeanewTV · Today 15:46

DebbieSavage · Today 13:54

Yes, exactly. Regardless, I would imagine the vast majority of white English women would be very much open to relationships with these men as we are a very open and tolerant bunch on the whole. I simply do not see the fear that some of the posters are insinuating that these men will be wandering around without access to 'sex', as if that is the be all and end all for people escaping persecution.

I think most of this fearmongering is coming from British men who are finding out very quickly that their value on the dating market isn't all it's cracked up to be and they are flailing about desperately trying to convince us that dating anybody from an asylum background is a bad idea.

Most are not escaping persecution. If they were they would stop in the first safe country and be grateful. We all know why they are coming to the U.K. Even other Europeans are saying its benefits its housing it’s free health, dental care ( oh I wish) etc.

Why move from Croydon to an area that’s not what you want?

It's not a major thing and the positives (beautiful town, countryside on the doorstep, beaches 15 minutes away, peace and quiet) far outweigh the negatives.

But when I moved here 35 years ago, I genuinely didn't realise how monocultural it was until I'd been here a few weeks; and it was a good while before it really sank in how much the monocultural nature of the place was entrenched.

I think that might have been when my neighbour was mildly horrified because we got a new postman who was a Sikh...

Realise what exactly? Gaslighting is telling us that we're crazy and that the problem isn't real.

Is that what you are saying. Toothless simpletons?

Gaslighting
Common Signs and Tactics

Denying reality: Saying things like "That never happened" or "You are dreaming".
Blaming the victim: Saying "You caused this" or "If you weren't so bad, I wouldn't do this".
Trivializing feelings: Telling someone "You are too sensitive" or "You are overreacting" when they get upset.
Rewriting history: Changing details of past events to make themselves look better and the other person look wrong

I suspect you don't actually understand the word.

JulietteHasAGun · Today 15:49

Problem for Andy is that when middle class people see these sort of headlines a lot may start voting Reform. 🤷‍♀️. So I’m not sure he isn’t shooting himself in the foot by announcing it. He might have been better off just doing it without making it seem like an official policy type set up.

White man bad, white man knuckle dragging flag shagger. These seriously are the words coming from supposedly intelligent women.

And this is exactly why these discussions go nowhere. Everyone ends up fighting each other over race, nationality, left versus right and who hates whom, while the bigger issues barely get discussed.

Where is the long-term investment in British people and businesses? Skills, apprenticeships, technology, automation, infrastructure, housing and productivity? Where is the plan to make it worthwhile for businesses to invest and employ people here?

Calling white men “knuckle-dragging flag shaggers” is no more constructive than making sweeping derogatory statements about migrants. Neither fixes anything.

Meanwhile ordinary people argue amongst themselves and governments get away with failing to address the structural problems that actually affect our living standards. I'd rather argue about what Britain needs to do better than which group we're supposed to blame this week.

Agree.

There are lots of people in the UK (and abroad) making an absolute fortune out of this human trafficking. Where are the incentives to stop it?

They are quite indifferent. Equality is so ingrained that they believe that immigrants are entitled to equal representation in rape here and it's racist not to provide victims.

blackpooolrock · Today 15:53

How would that work? You need to show valid ID to vote, and it won’t be checked just by Labour partisans.

According to the Electoral Commission, in the whole of the UK, in many elections at every level, there were under 260 election related offences in 2025. Over half were campaigning offences. a number were expense related offences. Under 50 were registration offences, and only 14 were voting offences.

The political parties have a good system of checks and balances on each other when it comes to voting.

They can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate, its free and doesn't require a photo ID.

I'm sure you don't need ID in Scotland and Wales to vote?

  5. Mention asylum seekers... oops!

If that's a problem for Andy he needs to deal with the issue by stopping this wave of mass unwanted economic migration that the taxpayer seemingly has no choice but to fund, whilst simultaneously being told theres not enough money for defence, pensions,NHS.
Then nobody would need to consider voting Reform/Restore.

So you think government policy shouldn’t be communicated to citizens, in case it makes him unpopular? Perhaps you also think we should ban freedom of information requests, or perhaps just cancel elections maybe?
