It’s pretty much rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic at this stage. The way things are going, and Burnham has given no indication he’s going to do anything to stop the massive influx of young men on boats, everyone is going to be “taking their share” fairly soon anyway.
I mean, I suppose there’s a certain satisfaction in knowing that the middle classes will no longer be totally protected from the consequences which the working class have faced and been demonised for complaining about for so long. But moving “asylum seekers” round the country is really not the answer to the problem, is it?
