Oh it's not solely about numbers. Numbers are only part of it. We will undoubtedly be in a worse place economically by then. Our population is ageing rapidly. They're apathetic, weak, often stupid and certainly demoralised. Successive governments appear intent on facilitating these people and providing them with somewhere to live, money, legal assistance etc. This is only going in one direction. Don't underestimate the snowball effect and don't forget that their faith is designed to enable the domination of existing religions and social systems within a targeted country. It's a perfect storm.

You can laugh all you want. Get back to me in 20 years, although I doubt this place will still exist by then.

If someone calls a particular comment racist, I'd expect them to be able to explain what was said and why they consider it racist. Likewise, if someone claims there is “blatant hatred of white people”, it's perfectly reasonable to ask them to identify the supposed hatred.

As for somebody calling this a “racist thread”, that's their assessment of the thread as a whole. Ask them what specifically they're referring to and let them explain it.

I'm not sure what contradiction you think you've found here. My position is pretty simple: if you're going to make a serious accusation of racism or racial hatred, you should be able to point to what was actually said and explain why you think it's racist.

I so agree. While I applaud the hard work of all the Eastern European builders who came and have been a happy recipient of it myself, it was the start of the crazy housing market and things went nuts. If there hadn't been these cheap builders maybe property wouldn't have risen so quickly and we'd never have had Kirsty and Phil! Oh the glory days of the 1990s...

Nobody’s arguing that immigration isn’t a serious issue. But the amount of airtime it gets is both disproportionate and counterproductive. A large section of the public has been gaslit and radicalised into thinking that every problem we’re facing is caused by immigration. If people don’t start realising this then we really are doomed.

A very noble idea but given that these threads and similar are littered with the R word, it would take a while to address each accusation. It's set in stone that it's a problem to say I would like there to be less diversity but not when you say you invite more. No wonder people have lost patience with it. This thread has allowed for more open discussion.

It is a popular view point with my family and friends and people I know as acquaintances and so on.
I overheard a conversation in a coffee shop with someone saying that we needed Trump to run the UK and people were nodding. People are tired of it all and we know that not all of them are genuine and it’s putting a strain on everything. I didn’t used to think like this, but something has gone wrong with controlled immigration of people we need to work and pay their way and not enough acting on the ones we don’t in my own opinion.
Why can’t they go through the proper channels ? They have money to give over to gangs , why not for visas or whatever you need to live somewhere else ? Why arn’t they vetted first, asked about their finances and so on as I would be if I fancied living elsewhere!
I can’t believe they haven’t got a grip on the boats and people are dying and risking their lives and the authorities do nothing about it and then it’s a problem of where they can live and we have enough homeless people of our own.
I haven’t got the answers , but it feels like a crisis that nobody is really addressing and the French take our millions and don’t seem to do much ( because they don’t want them either I guess)
Something has gone really wrong , but politicians won’t be suffering only lecturing people about living together as a happy community and how racist we are for feeling a bit worried about the future of our own people
I know I’ll be flamed or called racist, but seeing so many on the boats is concerning and many people don’t feel listened to.
