I don't think we should let anyone in to this country, and want something done about the criminal gangs running the small boats. However, I do think it's a bit hypocritical to complain about immigrants in general and how they have "ruined" your country and yet also presumably be an immigrant yourself. Again, that doesn't mean I want everyone that wants to come here to come here. But if you live here you contribute to the immigration statistics others are quoting as being too high even if you are white like many immigrants are.

Because somebody made a specific claim that “hatred of white people is quite blatant”. Asking them to point out where that hatred has actually been expressed is hardly an unreasonable request.

“White people are constantly being called racist for discussing immigration” is a completely different statement. Being unfairly called racist would be wrong, but it isn't evidence that somebody hates white people.

And I'm not sure why you think evidence is something a person has to be “owed”. If you make a serious accusation about racial hatred in a discussion, it's perfectly reasonable for somebody to ask what you're basing it on.

How would that work? You need to show valid ID to vote, and it won’t be checked just by Labour partisans.

According to the Electoral Commission, in the whole of the UK, in many elections at every level, there were under 260 election related offences in 2025. Over half were campaigning offences. a number were expense related offences. Under 50 were registration offences, and only 14 were voting offences.

The political parties have a good system of checks and balances on each other when it comes to voting.

I would love to upload of photo that I know mumsnet wouldn’t allow. A friend of mine, who worked and studied hard lives in a beautiful affluent area, 5 bedroom homes, they’ve turned one into a 6 bedroom hmo using the living room too, so far, one pissed all over someone’s front window, another carrying a large hammer down the street, the fighting amongst themselves is crazy, the children cannot play unsupervised, the parents have a rota. Yes, absolutely. If someone claimed there was “blatant hatred” of Black, Asian or any other group in a discussion and I couldn't see what they were referring to, I'd ask them to show me what had been said.

Racial hatred is a serious accusation regardless of who it's directed at. Asking someone to substantiate that accusation isn't denying that racism exists; it's asking what specifically they're referring to.

The standard shouldn't change depending on the colour of the people involved.
