I am currently having lunch in a beach restaurant and a girl with a lovely toned body is wearing a tiny thong with full ass on display. This seems to be a fashion thing and there are lots of women wearing the same cheese cutter! People are staring and some women are laughing. I find it a horrible trend and I am wondering what others think.

Yes, that's why I always travel with dettol spray and plastic seat wraps when I go to the beach. I usually just stand up while eating in beach side restaurants to avoid the germs and have my plastic gloves on.

It really doesn’t bother me what people wear if they’re comfortable, although I have to say there doesn’t seem much point to me wearing clothes in these 30°C+ temperatures. I’m curious though, what is it in particular that offends you about the human body?

if someone truly had empathy in this situation, they may approach the young woman, and say I’m not sure if you are aware there are some judgey people being unpleasant- want me to say something to them ? You might want to move away from them, or are you OK ??

Seriously? Why on earth would I have gone up to the woman and drawn attention and commented on what she was(n’t) wearing! She was oblivious to the women laughing at her as she had her back to them. It was absolutely not my place to do that. And no, I’m not back pedalling. I’ve been very clear throughout that staring and laughing at someone is not acceptable regardless of one’s view.

Yes no problem at all, I have encountered that many times whilst sitting outside beach bars over the years. Genuine naturists however tend to always carry their own towel with them to sit on.
