Count down to Bin Day!

Count Binface has been out bigging-up Clacton and drawing attention to its potential.

It’s a really positive campaign.

I don’t think he’ll win but I’d love it if he did. I think he’d be brilliant.

And if he doesn’t, I think other candidates could learn a lot from his approach.

Count Binface meets the press

He's got a good point about saving the the cost of by-election Mark Deux if he's elected tomorrow.

On Trump "Why would I want to talk to him? He's awful "😂

Good for the game reps of the international Press, BTW.

itsgettingweird · 12/08/2026 16:54

That video is just brilliant! 🤣

Those poor journalists - loved the fact he could say “I’m not a lawyer” in Japanese!

@SerendipityJane the ‘meet the press’ video is brilliant.

Please let him win.

A million times this. I'm going to watch if Perseid shower (peaks tonight) if I can and try to imagine every one is a Recyclon on the way from Sigma IX to support him.

I honestly think he's a good guy and I'd be happy to have him as my MP, I'm not mocking Clacton or its people who deserve much better than a self serving con man.

That’s fabulous.

Well, the polls are open.

Do it for the nation, people of Clacton!

Farage will win, but the fact that Reform Ltd has had to pull out all the stops to beat a satirical candidate is just funny.

Clacton had one of the highest percentage of leave votes in England. It's prime Reform Ltd territory, but they are worried about a bloke with a bin on his head.

It's a real shame we didn't get a head to head conversation between the two. I expect Farage was running scared of that

Darker · Yesterday 08:50

I would have loved to see a head-to-head. I think the electorate were cheated in that respect.

I want Binface to win, but thinking about the parliamentary scrutiny that awaits Farage if he’s elected is a perfectly acceptable consolation prize.

Ian Hislop is calling today “Farage-Commons-standards-inquiry-reopening-eve”.

CB would have had him for breakfast. I think anyone not deeply dodgy would potentially struggle in debate, because he's so funny and can basically say what he likes. Mr Spiv would have been toast. Would have paid to see it though!

@Darker agreed. A win for NF will just catapult him back a few weeks, even if he is elected in Clacton with every vote available (which won't happen)

BIossomtoes · Yesterday 11:00

I expect turnout to be very low. It’s incredibly hot out there already.

I wish 99p ice creams were available to everyone leaving the polling station.

Better yet on the way in.

I think that would be classed as trying to influence the electorate. I’m actually going to miss his campaigning-it’s bought a bit of much needed levity to a grim old time. If the people of Clacton vote Farage in again then frankly they deserve to be left to the consequences of their actions.

Darker · Yesterday 11:30

I think that would be classed as trying to influence the electorate. I know… one can dream. Imagine if all the ice cream vendors had an ‘election day special’ on 99’s today, throughout the constituency.

I’m actually going to miss his campaigning-it’s bought a bit of much needed levity to a grim old time. Me too. It has brought a glimmer of hope that seems sadly lacking at the moment.

Tbh Ice cream companies everywhere have missed a trick with failing to do promotions around this. Sales would have bin through the roof.

Did anyone hear his Mumsnet quip in his In the Room interview on 11th August? 😆

Love the guy - he is smart and hilarious. He is everything that the odious toad Farage is not.

Yes! I would love him to come on here and do a q and a!

BIossomtoes · Yesterday 11:41

I missed that, what did he say?

soddingspiderseason · Yesterday 11:45

Binface and common sense have already won. Farage looks like a complete knob, causing a byelection and then campaigning against a man with a bin on his head.

@mumumental / @BIossomtoes : In answer to what is his favourite biscuit: "Good question. I mean, everyone gets asked that. What is this? Mumsnet?" 😂
