To think Count Binface is doing a great job in the Clacton by-election?

Count down to Bin Day!

Count Binface has been out bigging-up Clacton and drawing attention to its potential.

It’s a really positive campaign.

I don’t think he’ll win but I’d love it if he did. I think he’d be brilliant.

And if he doesn’t, I think other candidates could learn a lot from his approach.

Fecktard and Liebour..... The quality of the debate has obviously improved 😁

You forgot the 'Libdums'...

Straight out of the Trump playbook isn't it?

Well, tomorrow is the big day.

I think the solar eclipse is a sign from the galaxy. An omen.

Not only is he running a great campaign, I think it is clear he would be a far, far, better MP for Clacton than Farage. I know he won’t win but I can’t help but hope he will.

HeHasMyVote · 12/08/2026 09:47

It’s slightly surreal living somewhere that a by-election has caused a lot of focus.

I don’t doubt that Farage will win, he has too much support here. TBF, I can’t blame people as he definitely has the gift of the gab when it’s needed and lots of people are feeling fed up and not listened to. Sadly, from a few interactions I’ve had, it seems that the “everyone is out to get him/smear him” message has stuck.

It’s not a great feeling, hoping that CBF will swoop in with a victory, but realistically knowing that it won’t happen. I’ll be distracting myself in a suitably celestial way. It’s a gorgeous day here, so will be going to my favourite beach this afternoon, my lovely friend has a beach hut there. We’ve got an M&S picnic and comfy chairs ready for the eclipse. Then I’ll head back to my place, no streetlights, and settle on the outdoor sofa for the meteor shower. I’ll be wishing on every shooting star that I see 🌘💫

Oh @HeHasMyVote . I feel your pain.

Once you have voted there is nothing more you can do. Enjoy the day.

His standard of Parliamentary literacy is about as good as his abilities as a constituency MP.A phrase of my old grandmother's came to mind today which I think sums him up perfectly. Spiv.

Basically, he's stuffed either way, thankfully.

I can honestly say I've never wanted to see a Britiish politician go as much in my life, and that includes Thatch, who was many things I loathed but wasn't on the take and unfit for public office.

I always thought he was a nasty little spiv, which is a great word BTW, and deserves to be more widely used.

ntmdino · 12/08/2026 11:14

The genuine problem here is that Binface's non-comedy policies actually make sense on (almost) every level; he's making a mockery of Farage by...largely presenting quite sensible policies which would benefit the people.

It's the logical destination of the road we've been on since the Brexit campaign - we've really arrived at a place in British politics where satire feels more reasonable than reality.

This is great - and it breaks down the numbers really well.

I wonder how many people tell the truth to pollsters? I certainly never have. It’s necessary to tell a blatant lie in order to teach them to mind their own business.

If I lived in Clacton I’d delight in telling them how much I admire Farage, yes, I will definitely be voting for him - and then putting my nice big X in the Binface box.

Darker · 12/08/2026 12:57

Yes - and there are the ‘shy voters’ who say one thing in public and quietly vote the other way in the privacy of the voting booth.

There really could be a surprise on Friday morning if the fates align… low turnout from the General Election Farage voters (complacency/disillusioned?) + vigorous turnout from CB supporters… who knows.

It's really in the lap of all those people who didn't vote for Farage in 2024. If they decide to come out and coalesce, then who knows.

Turnout will be a factor. Remember in the by-election of the century just gone, over 1 in 3 could not be arsed.
