To ask if anyone has had a boob job and how it went?

Please don’t respond by telling me not to do this and reminding me what women are far more than just their bodies because that is obviously true and I know that…. I just want to feel happy and attractive in my own body, and currently I don’t.

I've always had really tiny boobs (28C/30B which actually looks like an A cup) and have always really disliked them. I know it's really silly but I just feel like less of a woman with them being this small. They used to be even smaller when I had anorexia years ago as a teen, they were a 28B (looks like a small A).

I want to be seen as sexy and desirable by the right man and I don’t see that happening with small breasts. Please don’t say sexiness is an attitude because we all know there is a strong visual element to it for men, it’s clear, and boobs are a big draw for them.

I just want some cleavage. Has anyone had breast implants and how did it go?

thanks. X

OP, you say you’re doing it for yourself but every time you post it’s all about men being attracted to you and how they view you. If you want to get a boob job then that’s fine but at least be honest with yourself and stop acting like you’re doing it for any other reason than men wanting you.

Yes I see what you’re saying - a partner who is only interested in women with large breasts for that reason would be a pretty boring, one dimensional partner. However the fact remains that on a purely physical level, most (or at least very many) men seem to prefer large breasts…. And if a woman with small wants her partner to be physically attracted to her, including her bust, then I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want breast implants.

But you’re assuming all men want big busted women. They probably aren’t the partner you want surely. The risks of silicone leakage and sickness are not worth it. Never ever would I consider that. Get counselling first I’d say.

Apparently anything more than a handful is a waste. I can’t remember who told me that.

An idiot who has no empathy for those of us who would love to have smaller boobs?

Imagine if I wrote that any less than a handful was inadequate?

I think it’s both to be honest - I do want (some) men to find me attractive, but it is also about how I feel in my own body.

I don’t think that the handful saying is intended to make larger breasted women feel inadequate; it’s obvious that big boobs are the beauty standard in the UK and US, probably all/most Western countries, whereas smaller breasts are the ones which are ridiculed, or seen as a flaw. The handful saying was, I think, intended to make smaller breasted ladies - the ones who are likely to feel less sexy, less desirable and possibly insecure - slightly better about themselves. Sometimes men say it to be kind even if they don’t truly think that. Women with big boobs already know that that is the beauty standard.

Breast augmentation is the most common cosmetic procedure, not reduction. There’s a reason for that - all of those women with smaller breasts getting implants live in a society where the desirable trait is large breasts.

I do have empathy for women with very large breasts which cause them problems, and it isn’t a completion of who has it worse, but it’s silly to deny that big boobs are the beauty standard and the desirable trait in our society. We only need to look at the media.

Despite having had a boob job myself, I really don’t agree with what you have said above. It really isn’t true.

I had 2 surgeries in 2021 and 2023. 2021 I did in Turkey it was not good, bad scars, infection. In 2023 I went to Brussels to see the amazing Dr Plovier and I am so happy with my results.

60degreecycle · 18/08/2026 11:47

Presuming you've done ongoing therapy and fully tacked your issues around your eating disorder, and how that relates to body image, if you still feel it's an appropriate decision for you I'd save up 3 x the amount of money you think you need.

My hairdresser has a 12 year old encapsulated implant that she can't afford to have removed, and that to me sounds more distressing than not having socially acceptable fashionably sized breasts to offer men.

Ok - I’ve just always felt like big boobs are applauded by men everywhere growing up. Maybe you were looking at different media/mixing with different people to me.

Ok - I’ve just always felt like big boobs are applauded by men everywhere growing up. Maybe you were looking at different media/mixing with different people to me.

But why are you arranging yourself around, and undergoing painful, repeated and costly surgery to be applauded by men who are not interested in a woman with very normal breasts?

The fact that you've mentioned media is exactly it, you have been fed an expectation and you are now considering surgery to alter your body, to fall in line with that expectation.

There are lots of men out there who feel they are entitled to a woman who looks like the images of women they have become used to from digital pornography. A hairless wonder, with round fake boobs, bleached arshole, hair extensions, fillered face, fake nails.

I would be at great pains to avoid those men. Not start cutting bits off and sticking bits into my body surgically to attract them. Your body doesn't need to be in fashion. Spend a bit of time googling what women's body type has been deemed (*by who, who gets to decide this?) attractive over the ages. Then realise that it's only a small percentage of women who's bodies ever hit this brief at any time. It's impossible for everyone to look like what is currently "in". When I was younger having a big arse was a cardinal sin. Now, it's obligatory. It's the luck of the draw, and it's a game you will never win. You can choose not to play.

I agree. Big boobs are not the beauty standard. But they do get a lot of attention.

I’m not trying to be awkward here, but if big boobs get the most attention, surely that’s because most men prefer that? That’s what was always in those lads’ mags like Zoo that men bought before the internet was as huge as it is now.

I know that some men will shag anything, but I don’t want to be settled for like that to be honest.

YANBU for wanting to have a boob job. But the implication that women with smaller boobs are 'settled' for is gross.

Ukkake · 19/08/2026 13:57

Go for it. Do your research and find a well reviewed and trusted surgeon.

I went quite big, up to a 36E which I love. I feel much more attractive. Sexually they have been a game changer for me.

I completely see how you think that, but I am saying it as a small-breasted woman who’s internalised that idea based on what I’ve seen in our society .

What size were you before? I’m assuming the surgery and recovery went well? I’m most scared of the recovery and pain.

Hmm, I could do a Ted talk about this.
1, firstly, it's because they're big. They're in your face. Men have a thing about size. Big cars, big dicks, big tits etc. Big tits seem to shout , 'I'll shag anyone' .

gettingonfor40 · 19/08/2026 20:43

The way you conflate big boobs and beauty is quite odd. Surely it's your face that makes you beautiful or not, and you could be ugly or plain with big tits. I don't think women like Vivien Leigh, Sienna Miller or Keira Knightley are less beautiful for having small breasts, or that my average sized breasts make me less attractive.

I was a 34c before but I was so self conscious on the size and especially how they looked with no bra.
Now, they make me so confident and drive the men wild.

Don’t be scared, as long as you find a recommended surgeon and agree on the final look you want, it will be one of the best things you do.

It doesn’t have to be the only thing, shouldn’t be for a serious relationship, but it’s fine for it to play a part, and realistically it does.

Yes, but often it is the only thing they are interested in. Thatcher issue.

There's a massive gulf between what certain men find fuckable, and a man loving you.

Some men unfortunately do think that large breasts = easy.

I was just scrolling through Facebook and this post came up, an article about a rumour that “Jamiriquoi broke up with Winona Ryder back in the 90s because he thought her breasts were too large”. The most liked comments from men underneath?
”He must be gay”
”Breasts can’t be too large”.
