To ask if anyone has had a boob job and how it went?

Please don’t respond by telling me not to do this and reminding me what women are far more than just their bodies because that is obviously true and I know that…. I just want to feel happy and attractive in my own body, and currently I don’t.

I've always had really tiny boobs (28C/30B which actually looks like an A cup) and have always really disliked them. I know it's really silly but I just feel like less of a woman with them being this small. They used to be even smaller when I had anorexia years ago as a teen, they were a 28B (looks like a small A).

I want to be seen as sexy and desirable by the right man and I don’t see that happening with small breasts. Please don’t say sexiness is an attitude because we all know there is a strong visual element to it for men, it’s clear, and boobs are a big draw for them.

I just want some cleavage. Has anyone had breast implants and how did it go?

thanks. X

You actually had to flee a supermarket? What actually happened?

I suddenly noticed all these men staring at me. My first thought was that I must have had something unzipped or undone but I was fully covered. I said to my mother, "Is it my imagination or are they being very weird?" She told me that it certainly wasn't my imagination. I was so uncomfortable we left. I don't know whether there was a support group for sex addicts in the neighbourhood or whether the locals were a very peculiar lot.

Malinia · 09/08/2026 23:52

I had mine done 24 years ago. I was less than AA, couldn't even get bras to fit let alone clothes, I have big hips and felt disproportionate. I had under the muscle placement and am a D cup. If I did it again I would go a bit smaller but I don't regret it, have had no issues, and haven't needed further surgery. I also recently had a mammogram and it was no issue for that either.

TeenLifeMum · 09/08/2026 23:56

My friend had hers removed after 10 years and it was clear they were making her ill. I’m not against them but that did make me think. Mind you, I have massive EE boobs that make me feel fat now I’m mid 40s. I loved them in my 20s-30s but now they’re just too big.

I know that some men will shag anything, but I don’t want to be settled for like that to be honest.

Many men actively prefer small breasts. I have dated men who like it (am small boobed.) and am of an age that the cohort of men I grew up alongside all had a crush on Kate Moss, who definitely doesn’t have big breasts.

Tennisbiatch · 10/08/2026 00:17

I have implants and from my experience I had the same amount of male attention before and after I had them. I think rather than worry about what a man wants, focus on what you want (for you- not anyone else). If that’s boobs that will make you feel even better about yourself, then go for it but please don’t make the decision because you want to be more attractive to men xx

Lemonymint · 10/08/2026 06:31

And I have to say that my mother, in her fifties, was getting asked on more dates than I was in my twenties. I assume that people thought she was single as my father had Alzheimer's and was in long term care. Almost all of them were good quality men. My mother looked like a woman in her fifties and did absolutely nothing to encourage these men. She just had a very warm personality and was interested in people (but not in ever getting married again). That truly is the key to finding somebody - don't talk about yourself, listen to what other people say, I mean really listen rather than just waiting for your turn to speak. Being interested in other people will do more for your chances than any boob job.

OK, Jackie. HTH.

Had mine in 22 years now. Had mammograms no problem. They look fabulous and you’d never know they were implants.

Not actually a recognised medical diagnosis as of yet though. Not to dismiss people’s symptoms just the research/evidence is very mixed. 😬

i researched thoroughly and didn’t like the UK approach of “two hours surgery then home”.

When I did my research, nowhere in the UK, not even the highly advertised cosmetic surgery companies, were doing boob jobs in two hours then home.

My research led me to a specialist surgeon that could do what I wanted. i.e. A totally natural look. The procedure was carried out in a large private hospital and I was in there overnight. The hospital offers unlimited aftercare in case of any subsequent issues. That was 12 years ago and there have been no issues.

might have just been the companies I looked at; I remember one was Transform. Who I’m not even sure if they exist now?

Oh dear. Small boobs aren't a flaw and surely you wouldn't want to be with a man who thinks of them as that anyway?

Sadly, I think that possibly 99% of men think that if they’re honest and not trying to be politically correct or kind .

They often look awful. Men aren’t settling if they are with someone with a small chest. Some men don’t like bigger boobs. And men who aren’t shallow won’t care either

It’s true that being shallow isn’t a positive quality, but we all want to be with partners we’re physically attracted to. I’d want a future boyfriend to be attracted to me to be honest..

Why don’t you think men can be attracted to a smaller chest?

PermanentTemporary · 10/08/2026 23:20

No, daisy, they really don’t. It’s neither a positive or a negative in my life that I’ve had sex with so many men (and women) but there is one thing it taught me and that is that straight and bisexual men just love female bodies, they LOVE and desire us to an extent it is sometimes hard to believe. Obviously that can feel pretty toxic if it comes from men who don’t respect boundaries or who abuse but the vast majority of men just adore women’s bodies, and they simply do not judge us the way we judge ourselves.

Im not going to suggest you go out and have lots of casual sex because I don’t think you’re in a good place for that. Not am I going to say you shouldn’t ever have surgery, I’m considering it myself. I’m assuming you have had therapy and I hope you might have some more and find some way to feel about your body the way that pretty much every man you pass on the street feels about it. Believe me, they like your body.

Is it only men who like larger breasts that you want to attract OP?

No obviously, but I think that probably the vast majority of men prefer large breasts I’d they’re honest…

I just have the impression most of them prefer larger ones? Most of the women with huge followings ok social media have huge breasts, and big boobs have always been really hyped up in the media and apparently drooled over by men…. And no I wouldn’t want a creep drooling over me, but I would want some men to find me attractive.

I'm not sure what sort of awful men you have encountered but they honestly don't think that.

Pistachiocake · 10/08/2026 23:33

I have the opposite issue, and just wanted to give this side in case any points resonate. Occasionally I feel uncomfortable in clothing/thin I'd wear that if my boobs were smaller. I personally haven't had anyone leering but some women have experienced that (from men and women-a woman came up and grabbed my friend's, as if because she has a large bust that was ok!)
I find certain exercises harder, and unlike some, couldn't dream of not having high impact sports bras.
It's not bad enough (for me) to take the risk/cost of surgery, personally, but some women do, and if they grew after menopause and was really sore, maybe things would change. All I'd say is talk to a doctor, about how exactly it will look/feel/how it might affect exercise, and be sure they explain risk/recovery etc.

You really need to spend more time with normal guys, preferably as friends, and much, much less on social media and porn-influenced media.

Tbh there is a poster who starts a thread exactly like this every few months and if that’s you, then I really feel for you because it seems like an obsessive thought pattern. I hope you can get some help for it.

I’m not a regular poster on here; I’m not even a mum. I just wanted to post on a forum where I might get reasonable responses, not Reddit…

Honestly you don't need to do this to attract a man. So many actually like small boobs.

CoffeeBotherer · 10/08/2026 23:47

We're close friends of a family who all have small boobs. Oddly it was the married with 3 kids 35 year old who was first under the knife (her own decision, hubby had no say either way). She kept them for their 15 year life and instead of replacing them just had them removed. She said she felt much more confident.

Since then three others (each in early 20s) have had implants and they've all felt better in themselves. All four went from A/B to C/D, so nothing excessive, just enough to feel womanly without making them a focal point.

Note that there have been rejections by some men after they "found out", but not too many.
