To ask if anyone has had a boob job and how it went?

Please don’t respond by telling me not to do this and reminding me what women are far more than just their bodies because that is obviously true and I know that…. I just want to feel happy and attractive in my own body, and currently I don’t.

I've always had really tiny boobs (28C/30B which actually looks like an A cup) and have always really disliked them. I know it's really silly but I just feel like less of a woman with them being this small. They used to be even smaller when I had anorexia years ago as a teen, they were a 28B (looks like a small A).

I want to be seen as sexy and desirable by the right man and I don’t see that happening with small breasts. Please don’t say sexiness is an attitude because we all know there is a strong visual element to it for men, it’s clear, and boobs are a big draw for them.

I just want some cleavage. Has anyone had breast implants and how did it go?

thanks. X

Does anyone know the answer to this? I’ve lost weight recently and my boobs have shrunk so was vaguely considering implants, but I’d worry about missing signs of BC.

I can’t tell you about the feeling as mine is very recent but I asked both the doctor and nurse when I had my last mammogram, and they told me that implants (as long as placed behind) would make my breast easier to examine (mines were too small to get properly pinched by the mammogram machine)

MildlyAnnoyed · 09/08/2026 15:51

I had a lift without implants. I lost a lot of weight & my boobs were just like hanging sacks. I had a reduction & lift in Turkey in December & I don’t regret it for a second.

That's totally what I am going for - I have plenty of volume, but they are far too big and the sagging will only get worse because it's not something you can exercise away is it?

LeavingAtLast · 09/08/2026 15:59

Don’t think I’ve met a man, or none that I can remember, who claimed to like big boobs only. I’ve seen some on reality tv claiming to only like fake boobs but they’re largely morons. I know it’s not what you asked but as others have said, I think it important to challenge the view that men prefer big boobs. Self confidence is everything and if I were you, I’d want to be sure new boobs = increased confidence

Apparently anything more than a handful is a waste. I can’t remember who told me that.

I remember a 'man' saying that to me. I have large breasts so was said as a put down.

Bubblesintheair · 09/08/2026 16:14

Have you looked into fat transfer?

Charalam · 09/08/2026 16:18

I had mine done in 2005 in Cyprus. They look almost as good now as they did then. Zero regrets. Went from a 34B to a 36C.

MumsTheWordYouKnow · 09/08/2026 16:35

So sad to feel like that, it’s a health risk. You see lots of people with implants who look so tacky and pumped up and obvious. Love yourself and work on your self-esteem. You are unlikely to feel more confident because you had that done.

No absolutely not! It was well beyond exercise unfortunately! I also had a tummy tuck & arm lift.

I had a boob job at age 24. 10 years later and they'd made me so poorly with Breast Implant Illness that I had them removed (which cost more than having them in).
I loved them before they made me horrifically ill, but i was on the verge of having to give up work and my marriage suffered, I gained lots of weight and was back and forth to the GP constantly before I realised what it was, so I do have major regrets.

When making your decision you need to factor in being able to afford to have them replaced or removed.

Morethanadecade · 09/08/2026 17:07

I’ve had both breasts removed because of cancer and am now flat. I was only about a 32A before. I was offered either implants or a flap reconstruction using your own tissue - this is considered the gold standard and can give very good results, but the surgery is brutal - on the NHS, but I turned both down after the consultation. I know a lot of people who have had implants but most have had to have them removed - the implant flipped, or they got capsular contraction, or they just felt ill with them. There’s also a chance of developing a rare cancer with them.

JustFrustrated · 09/08/2026 17:07

I went to Lithuania in 2021. Best decision ever.

i researched thoroughly and didn’t like the UK approach of “two hours surgery then home”.

Flew Monday, consultation Tuesday morning. Surgery Thursday, one night in hospital, then flew back Monday. Back at work a week later.

After a week the pain had gone. Wore all the support garments as advised (also had contour lipo) and five years later, it’s amazing.

295cc in each breast with some tissue removed from one to make them equal. Sub muscle, and teardrop shaped. So look so natural no one can tell. And you have to have a reallY good poke to feel the implant. Like it hurts level of good poke.

i cannot recommend my surgeon or that hospital enough, to the point im going for a completely different treatment there via NHS right to choose.

genuinely it’s been one of the best things I ever did for myself.

JustFrustrated · 09/08/2026 17:08

Also don’t do fat transfer. It’s a low success rate and if you lose weight… it’s the first place to disappear from.

A misogynistic arsehole?

I have small boobs and it was probably said to me to reassure. I was in my twenties and much slimmer than I am now. My boobs were smaller then.

OchreReader · 09/08/2026 17:17

Perhaps it’s just been my own experience, but I’ve always found men who are vocal about being ‘boob men’ as sleazy, sexist and generally less intelligent. Most men love boobs, but the ones who make a big deal about size…nope, I’ll pass.

If you are unhappy with your body and want to change it, go for it. Just be sure you’re doing it for you. My body confidence was low because I was embarrassed about my inner labia. It was horrible. I had them trimmed and never regretted it once. I do get where you’re coming from.

I wish you well whatever decision you make 🙂

i researched thoroughly and didn’t like the UK approach of “two hours surgery then home”.

When I did my research, nowhere in the UK, not even the highly advertised cosmetic surgery companies, were doing boob jobs in two hours then home.

My research led me to a specialist surgeon that could do what I wanted. i.e. A totally natural look. The procedure was carried out in a large private hospital and I was in there overnight. The hospital offers unlimited aftercare in case of any subsequent issues. That was 12 years ago and there have been no issues.

Noodles1234 · 09/08/2026 21:38

I always thought smaller boobs were sexier, you get to wear blouses a little undone etc whereas larger can look less sophisticated. However if it bothers you do what you want to.

Your comprehension skills are really lacking.

Ok Jackie.

That is definitely not the norm anymore, all the UK ones I’ve seen have been done as day cases. 👀

I had a lift with my implants and I adore them, I also had an extended abdominoplasty and stayed in hospital for two nights. ☺️

Purplecatshopaholic · 08/08/2026 16:57

If you want a boob job op, go for it. But do it for you. Not for a man.

Agreed
i have nice (if short 😂)legs and bum. Not for one second did i want to enhance my boobs to attract men. I have always attracted leg men, unfortunately I also attract coercive, selfish abusers, but that is another story.
my breasts were tubular, they weren’t nice, I hated the shape and proportions. I could drew them up in a bra, but they were ugly.

i had to do a lot of research as tubular augmentation is complex and won’t be resolved by a large implant alone.
I did have some complications which required rework, I didn’t pay for a penny of that.
10 years down the road I love them, and I only ever did them for me.

Evaka · 09/08/2026 23:09

Hi OP, small chested 44 yo here. Just want to challenge the idea that men don't like small breasts. I've never had any trouble! And really enjoy having perky, gravity defying boobs as I age.

Saramur · 09/08/2026 23:25

chedderland · 08/08/2026 02:30

They often look awful. Men aren’t settling if they are with someone with a small chest. Some men don’t like bigger boobs. And men who aren’t shallow won’t care either

One of my ex’s loved small boobs. Didn’t like bigger ones at all. On a small frame too, they look great I think.

Tunnocks34 · 09/08/2026 23:27

I went for a consult last year and was put off completely. I am a 32A. I joke that my boobs started growling when I was 11, and stopped when I was 12. Anyway I still have tiny little boobs and my husband loves them and actually, so do I. They look cute and compact in t shirts and if I want a push up I can get a padded bra.

A friend of mine has had mia tech implants, these are more modest but not done under anaesthesia and a quicker recovery time. She swears by hers.

I am not going to tell you not to do it. But I am going to say that confident cannot come from a surgeons table. It has to come from yourself. If you don’t think you’re beautiful and desirable now, after your boob job, you will likely feel the same about yourself but with big boobs.

PermanentTemporary · 09/08/2026 23:33

Agree with @Tunnocks34. if you are with the kind of man who likes to be with women with poor body image, you are just as likely to hear negative things about your bigger boobs, believe me, because it’s not about boob size but about putting you down. My sister has had that from past partners but never since she has matured and had some therapy.
