To ask if anyone has had a boob job and how it went?

Please don’t respond by telling me not to do this and reminding me what women are far more than just their bodies because that is obviously true and I know that…. I just want to feel happy and attractive in my own body, and currently I don’t.

I've always had really tiny boobs (28C/30B which actually looks like an A cup) and have always really disliked them. I know it's really silly but I just feel like less of a woman with them being this small. They used to be even smaller when I had anorexia years ago as a teen, they were a 28B (looks like a small A).

I want to be seen as sexy and desirable by the right man and I don’t see that happening with small breasts. Please don’t say sexiness is an attitude because we all know there is a strong visual element to it for men, it’s clear, and boobs are a big draw for them.

I just want some cleavage. Has anyone had breast implants and how did it go?

thanks. X

I had a mastectomy , the reconstruction on that and an implant bin the other for symatrey. They will need to be replaced further down the line but they are fine but clothes fit differently and that needs to be taken into account

I was a 32AA when I was a young woman. Honestly, not meaning to sound conceited, I had a lot of men interested in me. Nobody even mentioned my breast size. My mother and I once had to flee a supermarket because of the number of men leering at me - I wasn't wearing anything revealing either. I mean I'm not saying looks don't matter because they do. I don't think your chest size is keeping you from finding true love though.

You actually had to flee a supermarket? What actually happened?

No, I’m not saying that relationships are only about the physical, but physical attraction is an important part of it and I do want a man to be attracted to me. I think smaller breasts are a huge flaw for a lot of men.

Are you quite slim?

Purplecatshopaholic · 08/08/2026 16:57

If you want a boob job op, go for it. But do it for you. Not for a man.

TickedOffAndALittleFedUp · 08/08/2026 16:59

Had mine done about 32yrs ago with silicone over the muscle. Was a spur of the moment decision and I picked a clinic out of the back of a magazine. I'm slimmer now than I was, they're a little bigger than I'd choose now and with hindsight I wouldn't do it but they've been no problem and I won't have them removed unless I have to. They do balance my figure better and DH loves them. I've had 3 mammograms and no issues.

TickedOffAndALittleFedUp · 08/08/2026 17:00

Forgot to message I've also had 3 babies since and breastfed all 3 without any problems.

NewDogOwner · 08/08/2026 17:04

You need to plan a budget so you can pay to have them replaced every 10 years. It's not a one and done.

SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite · 08/08/2026 17:07

I had mine in in 2011. I have zero regrets, one of the best gifts I gave myself! I had an ultrasound last year for unrelated reasons and the consultant said they still look great. The advice is no longer that they need to be repeated every 10 years and that she’s seen women who had them done well who have had them in for 30 plus years.

My advice is you get what you pay for - go for a good well recommended surgeon. I had a friend who prioritised cost and ended up having three surgeries. Spending more on someone very well recommended ultimately saves you money in the long run, and it’s just not something to cut corners on.

The other advice I have is expect to be pretty immobilised the first week. I saw one surgeon who made it sound like a breeze. The second surgeon (who did my surgery and was head of the British association of plastic surgeons at the time) warned me it would really hurt, breast tissue is some of the most sensitive tissue. You really need at least 10 days off work. Mine wasn’t even sub muscular btw and it still was hard getting up and down. By two weeks I was pretty much back to normal but still sore and by a month I felt fine (and I moved house a month after)

Also this is obvious but make sure you see before and after photos of the surgeons work

I did mine at 21 and went from a microscopic 32A (if that) to a 32DD. My implants were 385cc. People asked me afterwards if I’d lost weight as ironically I finally looked in proportion with the rest of my body! Finally found dresses that fit me on the top and bottom etc

Finally - you just know when it’s the right thing for you, so sod any judgment you get. Go to a good surgeon and enjoy your new additions!!! Xx

edit just to add: the advice is no longer that it needs to be repeated every 10 years provided there are no issues (encapsulation or tears in the implant eg). Again you get what you pay for and investing upfront saves in the long run. Mine were £7900 in 2011

I'm going to get mine done when I'm 50, but I'm going to get a reduction and a lift at the same time. I was that girl in class who developed earlier than everyone else and they never seemed to stop growing. I essentially need a hammock and not a bra these days and they are out of proportion to the rest of me. I don't want to be saggy anymore - you can't exercise your boobs smaller! - I don't want to buy clothes that are 3x sizes too big on top just to fit and I would quite like to sleep on my front for once... not to mention getting rid of the backache. Good luck with whatever you choose to do. Just make sure you do your research, shop around but don't go cheap, go with someone you trust and that has a good track record, and that you are doing it for yourself, 100% just for you.

Breast enlargements are so outdated. I know two women getting theirs removed, at great cost.

And I know several getting them taken out and reimplanted with fresh ones soooo

peppy23 · 08/08/2026 17:29

To answer your OP @daisydaisydais128I had a breast lift and implants coming up for 6m ago. After losing 10st I was left with little to no breast tissue. I adore them. I went to a surgeon in Lithuania whose work is fantastic, he also had terrific bedside manner and aftercare.

best thing I’ve done for myself.

False. Please don’t spread misinformation. The idea you have to replace them every decade is outdated.

Well more fool them, fresh lumps of poison in your body 👏🏻

Viperregency · 08/08/2026 17:35

I really don’t think it’s thr flaw you think it is op. Plenty of men prefer a neat bust if it’s atop a fit body, it’s the whole image.

And do you really want to be with the sort of man who wouldn’t be interested if you’d a small chest. they’d only be interested if you’d big boobs? Surely that’s not what you want?

Physical attraction is important, but if you need implants to attract a man, something is very wrong.in terms of the type of man you’re trying to attract.

PowerhouseOfTheCell · 08/08/2026 17:41

I had mine done in 2023, I was originally an A cup in one breast and a C cup in another. For a long time, I tried to accept myself and got into that love yourself mindset shite, but it was honestly messing with my self-worth, and I finally just said no more and booked it.
I went to Lithuania, mostly due to the cost, but I did my research and found a surgeon that was fully transparent with results and had studied and practised in the UK.
I flew out the Sunday, had the surgery on the Tuesday and flew home at the weekend, back in work with light duties on Monday!
It done wonders for my self-esteem. I'm now a DD, which suits my height and build.

Mark Solomos was my surgeon - amazing

Ooo where did you go in Lithuania? I went to Kaunas with a surgeon called Dr Adas Cepas. He’s brill, I want to go back to him to have an arm lift and upper bleph

Sorry, I know you said you want experiences and not debate, but don't you think that's the wrong sort of man? You're having a surgical procedure, with all the attendent risks and expenses, to attract a man that has that view of women?

And what happens if you have complications and have to have them removed? Accept that he'll leave you?

Do you seriously think I care about you, a stranger on the internet. I think breast implants are dangerous, but as long as no one I care about has them, that’s as far as my concern goes. Same as smoking and excessive drinking.

Contrarymary30 · 08/08/2026 19:04

Just make sure you still get scans as you won't be able to have a mammogram. My dear friend died from breast Cancer after a boob job because it was behind the implant .
